About the application:

Cars manufactured after the year 2000 are often OBD 2 compliant. OBD stands for On Board Diagnostics and it is a protocol used by the automotive industry for communicating info from the car's Electronic Control Troops (ECUs). Some performance readings, such as speed and RPM, are displayed on your dash. But what a lot of people do not know is that your vehicle constantly transmits variety of related readings that paint a more detailed picture of how your vehicle is performing. Without expensive specialized equipment, like you may see a mechanic use, these readings cannot be seen. MotaMate lets you see a lot of things your mechanic sees with specialized equipment. It connects to your car's electronic system over an OBD 2 Bluetooth connection, via an OBD 2 Adapter (sold separately). Fast and simple to setup, MotaMate is packed with Features giving you 2 apks for the price of 1. ☑ ECU Readings - See a lot of readings from your car's electronic system in real-time. Choose any reading to see it on MotaMate's ellegant gauges. ☑ Trip Log - Record all readings over a trip and save them for later analysis. MotaMate will detect when your engine is stopped and pause recording until the engine starts once more. This allows you to record trips over long distances where you may wish to stop for petrol and/or rests. ☑ Interactive Charts - See all readings for any saved trip on MotaMate's interactive charts (zoom and swipe). Compare 2 trips and identify possible decrease in performance. ☑ Save on Maintenance Costs - When you take your vehicle to a mechanic they will often connect it to a computer that checks for what are called Diagnostic Problem Codes (DTCs). A DTC is a code that on it's own makes no sense but they know how to lookup what it means and so can work out how to fix it. MotaMate will not only present you all DTCs in true time but it will tell you what that problem code means with a single tap. With that info you can investigate what the cause may be and, more importantly, receive an idea of what it will cost to fix. ☑ Simple Setup - A lot of effort has gone into the design of MotaMate to create OBD 2 connection and setup fast and easy.
