  Andy Warwick: This is an excent apk and is only awful if the smartphone or Smartphone it runs on is slow or has awful specs. I have used this apk on samsung s6 s7 s8 s9 s10 sony xperia Flag ship models and a lot of a lot of more and have never had any problems with it. if it stops it's because your storage is full. go buy a bigger SD CARD. I would like to see it brought upto date adding 4k pictures as HD is long past and even the cheap phones are now shooting at a higher resolution than 1080p. another than that it's good.

  Al Wilson: I had some confusion to start with, and I think a assist file or player tutorial would be useful to describe the usage and how the various settings work, but after a few emails to the very responsive developer I had my questions answered and the apk is good. I have Tasker but have not yet tried to set up a Tasker profile to use the motion detection but this is not necessary to me. Also, it would have been awesome to have the apk use the full resolution of the camera, though I understand that this should have affected the responsiveness of the motion detection. I hope this comes soon but I still think that this deserves 5 stars for being an apk that does what it is supposed to do, but also for the responsiveness of the developer.

  Bob Broweleit: I purchased this motion detector apk and am using it as a wild mini game camera. Its working good, and I know when the deer are around. Its the only apk I found that consistently sends pictures and does not shut off. I hook it up to a 12 v vehicle battery to hold smartphone charged.

  Lorem Ipsum: The motion detection part of this apk works good! Compared to IP Webcam Pro I was particularly interested in the low-power use of the motion detector. It actually saves power relative to leaving the screen on. One star removed because the HTTP feature just doesn't work. The author's answer is wrong; it has nothing to do with PHP. Chrome and Tasker on the same device talk to my local HTTP server just ok, but this apk reports an error when sending the request and the HTTP server does not keep any traffic. Possibly the apk is expecting wireless connection and does not help wired data connections? I have noticed that trouble in a few another apks. I found I should receive notifications for motion happenings over HTTP by linking this apk to Tasker, but you can't send photos over HTTP that method.

Im hoping that will be fixed with next modernize. Another than that works stable, works in background without tying the devise.

  Morbid Angel: Front camera (little lense) seems the best to use as more stable versus vibrations. Just walking around can set the detector off I found on back camera mode. Which you don't wish if your doing motion detection while your in the same location/adjacent room and its pointed towards a put you wish to monitor for your paranormal poltergeist detections say for example. It is VERY SENSITIVE on low lense resolution. If you stand at the another end of a twenty foot place from the detector and move just a few inches or so it will sound an alert and/or take a photo/s. Good! May have an EVEN FURTHER range on low res settings? If your going to use front cam create sure you cover as much place as possible through the view searcher on set up as it can register movement sometimes yet the object that's moving can be out of frame of the image that it has taken. Very awesome apk for the price and lots of settings for specifics.

  Robert Emmanuelle Gerochi - Pusoy: Its using CAMERA so if the room is dark it can not detect if some one keep it or test to steal it . and if you using front cam it always false alarm cause it detect when something ia moving . may i recommend to camera motion and the move sensor of the smartphone combination , so it can detect even its dark . and the remove the charger detector so it can detect if someone remove it to the charger . i hope you read this . thanks .

  Geert Neuts: I use motion detector on my old galaxy tab 10.1 and it seems to work correct for about a day. After that it stops detecting or taking images. When I click the button to stop detecting I hear a number of clicks as if the camera is taking pictures but there are no photos stored. Can tasker automate the activate and deactivate the detection? It would let me to check the device once a week and I can focus on the photos at daylight via a schedule. If this is possible, where is the documentation?

  Tobias Jones: Developer, Would you happen to have any documentation or better yet a video guide on how to set this up so that it doesn’t take the pictures at the smallest bit of motion? When I wake up in the morning, I have 500 images saved. Also why won’t it send the images to the SD card? I’ve actually been playing with this apk for a couple of years and I still can’t set it to where it takes the images not so abundantly.

  Jarno Mäkinen: ...had to delete the old review, reached the maximum length... ***UPDATE 29th Sep 2015*** I've been using this apk for a month now. I've been playing with the settings everyday, even hourly, and simply can not create it to work the method I wish. It doesn't really detect motion at all, but it does detect changes in the lightning conditions. I've pointed the camera to the front yard. Either it captures crazy amount of images (~500 per hour) or with tighter settings misses movements while still doing lots of false detects. I've tried Motion Detector Pro apk (various developer despite the name) and it has perfect motion detecting algorithm. Perhaps you could consider rewriting the algorithm. I'm super satisfied with all the features and stability of the apk, it just doesn't do what it is supposed to do - Detect Motion.

  Brian Cohen: Worked well for a few mins, now the front and back cameras don't seem to register happenings. When I stop happening recording there is a notice stating "error occurred". There doesn't seem to be an error log with more detail so the tool isn't very useful in its current state. Edit: When there are no recorded happenings for approx. 10 seconds, the detector appears to stop, even though the tool thinks it's still running. I can reset it with a Tasker intent. Dev, if you're reading this, any idea what's crashing the detector?

  Adam Weston: Tried all setting to receive this to detect motion but got 34 false results in a 4 hr period. Though this might be caused by changes in lighting. Then tried inside a lamp lit box and still got false positives. Using a Nexus 7 on lollipop. Awesome set of features but just can't receive the motion sensor to work correctly. Needs some sort of try mode like another apks so you can better set the sensitivity.
