Overall the quality and speed of the video is much better than Nest cameras in my experience. The apk feels more polished. The motion detection and sound detection is also very awesome.   A Google User: We've been using a standard monitor with our older child, but this thing is something else! The video quality together with how the Nanit is placed above the crib are the best - we can actually view our baby and what's going on with her. The summaries are my favorite, I have all the details on the apk, no need to remember anything, and it works like a magic!!! I love how it keeps track of how long it took my baby to fall asleep and how a lot of times she woke up, it's so good to see her progress over time. Was worth the waiting!

  Jacob Sandy: The Nanit camera is beautiful cool. For the first 5 months, we used it without Analytics on the multi-stand while our baby slept in a bassinet by our bed. We just started sleep training, so he now is in his crib all night and for all naps with the Nanit floor stand and Analytics turned on. As just a camera/baby monitor, the Nanit is really awesome and the apk is simple to use. The video quality is awesome and you can see very clearly in the dark. It gets even better with the Analytics turned on. Especially for sleep training, knowing all of his waking/sleeping times (even when he doesn't cry) helps us track his progress. I like the summary videos, but also want I should rewind through the full history. A few weird things I've noticed: Running the apk all night, at some point the sound stopped coming through and I had to force quit and reset. My wife's iPhone has almost no delay, just a fraction of a second, but my Google Pixel has like a 1-2 second delay from what us actually event live. The camera really needs an perfect wireless connection connection. We bought a fresh dual band AC router, and the long startup time and connection problems have ceased.

  ToeKnee Thomason: Super excited to receive our Nanit and receive it working. Unfortunately the apk crashes 5 out of 5 times when it says, "You have successfully paired your Nanit. Please wait...." Will find for solutions but will have to send back if its not going to work. Modernize 1: After a minor speed bump on the pairing the monitor has performed better then expected. The photo is crystal clear, even at 10m+ and in the dark.

  Sydney Fitch: Best cash I have spent on my kid. She makes 6 months next week, and I have been able to look back and see her sleeping habits night by night. Present my doctor the nightly reviews of her sleep to present her reflux isn't affecting her sleep. And when I leave for work at the crack of dawn, I can still watch her wake up from my classroom before the children receive to school. This does also work if the internet goes out at my house because they are still on the network and are connected through the router. I even added my mom on the admin list so she can watch the baby fall asleep or wake up whenever she'd like since her work schedule makes it nearly impossible for any visits. Really, I did my research before buying and I'm so satisfied with my choice.

  Rachel Moorehead: We love our Nanit - We've had it now for over a month and it's been a good purchase, especially for those techy-inclined. A few things that I want it had, which aren't deal breakers for me: better picture quality - its 720p now and allows you to zoom (digitally) unlike another cameras but the quality should be better to create out baby's facial expressions; and while the notifications are good, it'd be good if it should do picture in picture like the YouTube apk.
