National CASA is Transforming LivesNearly 700,000 kids experience abuse or neglect each year. Instead of playing with neighbors and making satisfied family memories, they’re attending court hearings, adjusting to fresh foster homes and transitioning to fresh schools. That’s a massive burden for a kid to carry. With a Court Appointed Unique Advocate (CASA) or guardian advertisement litem (GAL) volunteer dedicated to their case, America’s most vulnerable kids will have someone speaking up for their best interests. With your help, more kids will have the occasion to thrive in a secure and loving home.Because the work our volunteers do is complex, we host an annual symposium for the entire network to receive inspired, learn from industry-leading speakers and share best practices. In March 2018, the symposium will take put in Boston and more than 1,200 CASA/GAL staff and board members, volunteers, and kid welfare experts will gather to improve our advocacy on behalf of America’s most vulnerable kids.
