  A Google user: My largest problem in training for an instrument rating is when I come off a keep after a missed approach, and then have to figure out where I am in relation to a various airport - where I will attempt a various missed approach. I'm ok when I do my own navigation (pilot nav) to the fresh place, but my trouble is when ATC is assigning vectors -- instead of letting me select how I reach the fresh IAF. This apk has helped me to sharpen my mental picture -- even when forced to go a various method.

  Damo D: However during ILS simulation mode, is it possible to actually 'land' on the runway? The aircraft just seems to endlessly fly into the terrain. Also, I'm true life, wouldn't the ILS tutorial the aircraft more towards the beginning of the runway, and not so far into it? Thanks.

  Paul Thompson: Perfect trainer apk. Unbelievable for practicing vor and adf tracking and incorporating wind into the tracking. Would give the additional star if there was an option to begin from a random place with the plane not visible to practice getting back on track without visual clues from the map. Another than that I would highly suggest this apk for anyone wanting an simple and cheap method to practice or to visualise their instrument procedures on the ground without the need for firing up a full sim on pc.

  A Google user: This is a awesome port of Tim's Air Nav page. However, it lacks the ability to hide the aircraft and its tracks while flying. To try yourself on keep entries, this is essential. Also, a 'lost' button to randomly relocate the aircraft once hidden would be useful.

  Trnod P: The controls are really annoying. Have given the developer some awesome advices on how to fix it, but seems there is no will to do this. I suggest you to search some another apk that wont frustrate you so much... Still no pinch zoom, and still annoyingly changes instrument when singel tapping... aaarg... None of the fresh features are implemented, so you can disregard everything under the NEWS column
