  C S: fine, this fresh ver is an improvement from previous versions. Much of the application has improved. I have this app.on a Samsung Tab 4 8" 5.1.1. Lacks the ability to see the newspaper as if you're seeing it in hard copy. Can't search sections easily. Not able to find past newspapers. Not as awesome as the Apple apk. Very disappointed.

  Kyle Dowden: The requirement to buy a subscription is a assassin for the news-leader apk. I can receive local news, sports, etc. from a few another local media apks FOR FREE. Don't need this one.

  jennifer floerchinger: Limited features and functionality. CAN'T SHARE STORIES (but can pull up internet and hunt for story and share via website???); apk resets every time you hit the back button after reading a story so you have to scroll through everything once more; and It Has Advertisements. A paid apk, and very pricey one at that ($12/mo standalone or gratis with physical paper sub), could absolutely not have advertisements. Logging in could validate subscribers by removing advertisements and adding functionality and features.

  Tom Nelson: very awful news apk - you cannot read a story, obituaries, etc without being stopped and requiring a subscription to continue reading. it is just a sales gimmick and not worth loading. like their newspaper- all blow and no go. i would give it a minus 6 star rating if possible, but I'll give it a 1. junk, junk, junk...
