Starter Plugin adds NFC Mark Detection Capabilities to Tasker. Be carefull: it's just a plugin for Tasker, not a standalone application. The plugin doesn't need to write anything to the mark, it just reads the mark special identifier. Use the plugin simply creating a Profile: (+) -> Happening -> Plugin -> NFC Starter Plug-in. Then edit the configuration and scan a NFC compatible mark to read its identifier or check "Detect any mark instead" checkbox if you wish Tasker reacts to any tag. You can receive the scanned mark identifier through the local variable %discovered_tag_id. The following mark tecnologies are supported: - MIFARE Classic - MIFARE Ultralight - ISO-DEP (ISO 14443-4) - NFC-A (ISO 14443-3A) - NFC-B (ISO 14443-3B) - NFC-F (JIS 6319-4) - NFC-V (ISO 15693) If you experience some issues or you just don't like something contact me. Phong Tran: It worked, but I was getting a pop-up each time I scanned a mark. It turns out, you can receive rid of the pop-up by formatting the mark to factory defaults.

Gregory Benn: I wanted a plug-in, not other apk that does what Tasker can already do. This fit the bill. I had a question, the developer was very fast to answer. I had no trouble paying for the full ver. I didn't see the nag notifications like others mentioned. Works good on my Nexus 6p!

Fabio Manganiello: The apk does its job. I'd love anyway to receive the content of the mark into a Tasker variable. I have a lot of tags that I'd like to use for playing custom media, and I'd like Tasker to play something based on the URI on the mark, not on the mark physical ID

Derek Jordan W: I finally managed to figure out how to have almost instant execution of commands. It took a lot of research, but it ended up that I created some significant modifications to my smartphone using Xposed (root needed) with the Apk Settings module to set Tasker and plugins to "Resident", then changing the battery optimizations off for Tasker and all similar plugins. 5 stars if you add the ability to scan a mark when the screen is off and even if it's locked.

Daan: It would have been good if there was a trial ver of this apk. But this is exactly what I was looking for. Works super intuitive. The only downside of this apk: After using it for a while they'll ask you to review the apk on Google Play. That's crazy from a paid apk isn't it?

Kaleb Peters: Nice tiny plugin for Tasker. Kinda strange that this ability isn't accessible in Tasker to boot, but this apk gets the job done. Also good help from the developer! Was having problems with the Android device 7.1.2 beta, and got a prompt and helpful email response to my trouble.
