  I think i'm the 2nd person to ever download it, which is weird af. Despite that, i think this is my favorite star apk, no bs. I've downloaded every single one of them, trashed most, kept 4, plus this one, and yeah - so far this is my favorite. It's primary enough to be intuitive and complex enough to receive super detailed without bogging you down.

  Mike Reitmajer: This apk is very handy for finding what's accessible to see on a given night. Pros: - Orders objects by what's setting first, letting you prioritize your night - Allows logging of objects for Astronomical League observing tools, with enough info to satisfy the AL's requirements - Offers ability to hide objects you've already observed or are below the horizon - Contains Caldwell and Messier catalogs, as well as planets - Allows export of observing logs Cons: - No night mode; requires a separate red filter to preserve dark-adapted vision (Twilight apk doesn't quite slash it) - Calender for entering observations is a tiny buggy; yields the wrong date when selecting a month What I'd like to see in future releases: - Separate menu where you can list all your equipment, then choose which telescope and eyepiece you're using when entering an observation (related to how observing websites are currently handled) - Automatic calculation of magnification, if telescope and eyepiece specs are entered - Extra observing tools, e.g. Herschel 400, double stars, carbon stars, etc. - Night mode (only red and black, to preserve dark-adapted vision) - Option to hide objects within X degrees of horizon (that would be difficult or impossible to successfully observe)

  Mike Pettit: Really perfect apk... I was just working up the courage to write something to do exactly this. All it needs is a larger database of DSOs (or the facility to import your own database?), and maybe a red-filtered mode.

  Greg McKay: I really like this apk but I only gave it 4 stars. It would be nice to be able to change the date and time for planning happenings like Messier Marathons. Contain the entire NGC catalog and I'll give it 5 stars.
