The Encoded Solutions NMEA Instruments tool is a wireless marine instruments display that allows you to keep NMEA0183 sentences on your Android device device via WIFI using either TCP or UDP protocol, and to see that data on text or graphical marine instrument style display screens. This tool allows you to see your marine instruments wherever you are on your boat (within WIFI range). The following single-instrument full screen text displays are accessible: Compass Depth Boat Speed Over Ground Boat Speed Though the Water Apparent Wind Real Wind The following graphic displays accessible: Depth – a depth graph showing the current and 120 historic depth values, along with the current depth reading textually Multi-Instrument – a display that shows apparent wind angle, real wind angle, boat speed, and compass heading graphically, and apparent wind speed, real wind speed, depth, and boat speed textually A scrolling text display of the raw NMEA0183 data as it is received by the Android device device is also accessible. This allows you to see exactly what your instruments are sending to assist you when setting up your Encoded Solutions NMEA-to-WIFI multiplexer and this software. You can select between four pre-defined color schemes or just use your devices current theme. This enables you to see the instruments during the day and to protect your night vision after dark. The tool allows you to select the troops that will be used to display Depth, Wind Speed, and Boat Speed. If the NMEA sentence containing the data to display for these instruments does not include the data in the desired Troops, the data will be converted to the desired Troops for display. In addition, you can control different another aspects of the tool such as which instruments are accessible for display, what NMEA sentence to use for each kind of data, and what references to use for the Compass, Depth, and Boat Speed.
