Operation Shop Garden is a turn based tactic mini game set on the European Western Front during the Second Globe War. Operation Shop Garden was a dangerous Allied attempt to shorten the end of the Second Globe Fight by using three groups of airborne forces to capture multiple bridges to pave a method for a 100-kilometer armored attack to seize the German industrial heartland east of Arnhem. American and British Paratroopers without direct supply line have to depend on the unreliable airdropped supplies until the Allied spearhead reaches them. Paul Philp: Too awful Montgomery did not have this to mini game his disaster before he slaughtered his elite paratroopers. Sosabowski would have agreed. Your Allied army receive slaughtered but we die valiantly.

Scott Wilson: You play the allies trying to advance an armored spearhead to link up with isolated paratroopers. Fun scenario. Guidelines contain supply air drops, tactical formations for troops, ranged artillery, and night turns. Troops gain experience and skills from wars. Variable set up ensures it can be replayed a lot of times.

Mike Brown: This is how a strategic turn-based wargame could work. If you use proper military tactic and strategies, things will not go horribly wrong. The entire "Conflict Series" is must-have for casual and serious wargamers. Joni: good job as usual.

Paul Boegel: virtually impossible at normal setting. British paratroopers will be wiped out by the 7th day. Not enough tank troops, too a lot of german troops( they appear like locust) all german troops were piecemeal. Even the SS panzer corps at Arnhem were only at regimental strength. Hopeless.

peter blum: I trust I reviewed this mini game before, but it calls for a re-review. The mini game was rebalanced a few months ago. The Germans are now tougher around the 2 furthest landing zones, and the mini game plays more like the true war. Around Arnhem, your airborne army will do well just to survive. (Advice: you actually have to march them away from the objectives to relieve the pressure.) Around Nijmegen, you could survive, but only if you focus on moving south to link up with the ground army asap. A awesome challenge with Joni's usual well-thought-out mechanics.

Don Syme: Unbelievably difficult until you realise a. keeping paratroopers alive is not essential b. the Germans are hyper aggressive and will happily walk into any encirclement trap and c. the weather never gets awful, you have plenty of time. Historical? Initially yes, later no

Jurjen Smies: This is a regiment/brigade-level simulation of Shop Garden, and V.3.2.2.8 fixes a lot of earlier issues. Specifically, the Germans have gone from mostly sitting in put to aggressively attacking the corridor, raising the challenge significantly. Not the best in the series, but it just moved up the table.

Grey Mouser: I used to like all the mini games from Joni, but I just cannot receive my head around what he has done here. The mini game balance is just plain wrong as far as I am concerned. I may well be in a minority, but I just do not like the direction Joni is taking and for the first time will have to delete one of his mini games. I am very disappointed. I doubt I will buy other of his mini games, unless he changes direction. Sorry. On the positive side, I have loads of respect for Joni, had a couple of good conversations with him, I just cannot accept with him here.
