Michael Foster: Best GPS Map Apk You can use all the best Internet maps either online or offline - Google (maps, satellite, terrain), Begin Road Maps, NOAA Nautical Charts, USGS Topo, Caltopo, Aviation Maps, ESRI, OpenCycleMap, different begin trail maps, and dozens more. You can layer maps such as adding contours or hill shading. You can make and follow tracks. The downside is that all this versatility is accessible because you are not in a closed ecosystem and it requires you to take time to learn how set up the map sources file.

Stephen James Fenwick: Perfect Application I grabbed and older ver of MOBAC and used it to pre-create the maps of my region. Latest week I went out, and forgot to take my Garmin Oregon. I had to use OruxMaps for everything, I was surprised how effortless it was. I might "forget" the Oregon a few more times. Highly suggested.

Being heavily involved in backcountry navigation and Find and Rescue this application allows you to do everything you would wish to do on a high-end Garmin device and so much more.
