  Tim Corn: I first installed and unsuccessfully tried, reviewed, & pitched Oticon's apk on 3/23/17. Since then I'd read some awesome things about the updates. They've done a right nice job with the apk as it is today, at least for my purposes. So much so that I've reconsidered & now am comfortable giving it 5 stars. I'm not using the IFTTT features, just the basics: battery monitoring & independent left/right volume control. It works. It's also helped me in talking with my therapist when dialing in the aid's settings. I'm glad I didn't own my first impression & gave the apk a second look.

  Glenn Hole: I inspected this with a pair of OPN1 aids. I'm an audiologist and I use a Google Pixel so I wanted to see what all the awful reviews are about. At the moment, only the iPhone can direct stream from the hearing aids to the smartphone. That is clear from the description. If you didn't read that, then that's your mistake. A streaming option is coming soon for Android device, but this application works exactly as described. It connects and controls the hearing aids perfectly.

  mell rosandich: (Assist at bottom of this post)I had no trouble pairing each hearing aid(right and left). I was able to switch between sound profiles easily. Took me a min to figure out that you had to slide up and down on the screen for volume control. My only recommendation is save the volume level for each profile instead of setting it back to zero( or create a sticky option) ______________________________ Some assist for people using the apk. The oticon 2 Bluetooth will turn off in 3 mins if you don't connect to it (this prevents another people from connect and is a awesome thing). You can turn the Bluetooth on your oticon by toggling airplane mode. Keep the button on your hearing aid for 7 seconds (turns off) keep it once more for other 7 seconds (turns on BT). Connect your smartphone within 3 mins. Create sure you save your BT connection on your smartphone if you have that option so you don't have to pair

  Jose Bourdier: I wish to allow all people know that at first when I tried this apk was not working with my fresh oticon on ver v4, so I forget about this apk, because somertimes my hearing got connected and sometimrs no, then I got the ConnectClip and that forced my audiologist to modernize my oticon firm from ver v4 to ver v5 and after that this apk is working unbelievable, that fixed the connectivity trouble, and know every time I begin this apk, my hearing are connected as suppose to be... Please request to your audiologist to modernize your hearing to v5, you will remember me. Thanks

  Ian Bradshaw: Like Ron Lehman, got bluetooth connection first time, but not thereafter. However, after deleting paired device on my Nexus 5 smartphone (setting/bluetooth), it reconnected and works ok. I suspect trouble is more Nexus 5 than Oticon. Satisfied to receive some functionality, looking forward to more later. Volume control is a good step forward. As a long time techie, v1 and v2 are normally base level functionality; with glitches ironed and apk getting really awesome by v3. Looking forward to playing with IFTTT

  Jim Fenton: Works perfectly to control settings on my OPN1 BTE aids. works perfectly with the TV Adapter Ver 3. Major problem however if this apk is active on your smartphone and you send or keep a a call via the cars Bluetooth. Calls are badly distorted. Turn the apk off (force stop) and calls go back to normal. A definite bug.

  Yoon Park: I'm one of the first to review? It's a good apk even though not excellent. No tech glitches, functions work as described and it allows snappy interactions w my Oticon aids. You can check battery status (of each aid) and check out "IF" functions too. Downside: battery goes out very quickly / you can't connect your aids w your mobile for hands gratis smartphone calls / it doesn't work like wireless earbuds... Not just yet!

  Paul Bonham: When it connect to my minirites it works good. Sometimes it has a hard time connecting. Noticed if i turn bluetooth off on smartphone and allow the apk turn bluetooth on then it connect immediately. 1 star if that is fixed. Other star if streaming is implemented. Added 1 star for improved connectability. Still would love direct streaming The newer apk does improve connectivity. Would still love to stream my audio ebooks directly to them

I know its a bluetooth limitation. Hoping my connect clip will enable the streaming and handsfree operation. It did. All working. Very satisfied

  Upgraded from iPhone 5 to Samsung j7v. Oticon on was perfect on iPhone but does not have same functionability as advertised on Android device. It pairs well although there are ocassions when the smartphone must be booted to receive pairing working once more. (My be due to another Bluetooth devices in range) Main trouble is smartphone calls and melody not routed to aids. If coders can create that work in IOS, why can't they create it work in Android device? Or is this a marketing strategy to force purchasing an accessory or an Apple device? Android device owners could not have to buy a Connect Clip or anything else to receive the same features that Apple owners receive.
