  KEVIN DICKENS: I originally bought this apk for an Apple device but then acquired an Android device phone. At first I should not transfer the O.S. maps bought on the Apple device to the phone, but the ever courteous and helpful apk help squad sorted this out for me. I am on Dartmoor most days and my smartphone with this unbelievable apk will always be in my pocket.

  Richard Griggs: The ordnance survey maps of counties are not cheap but very useful when I am out cycling (especially off street). I had recently moved to android device from an iPhone. Saskia at customer services sorted out the transfer of the map from my iPhone to my fresh android device device. Gorgeous. Apk does what it says too.

  Ken Hastie: I like this a lot more than ViewRanger. Fine, so it's a simpler apk to use, but that's awesome for what I wish. Although I previously downloaded an OS map with View Ranger, I couldn't work out how to move it to Outdoors GB. Still, for 8 quid a second time, it won't break the bank. This apk works well, is quick and accurate.

  Nick Yelland: Having used the Apk on my iPhone, I was very irritated to search that I couldn't use it on my ipad-air as it didn't have GPS. So i bought a cheap Lenovo Android device smartphone (which is perfect) and then tried to download my maps, but they didn't present up on my acc .......more frustration! Out of desperation I emailed the App's help acc expecting either no answer, or something completely useless, but amazingly a very helpful lady called Saskia sorted out the trouble very quickly and my maps were there ! In a globe where Customer service is a contradiction in terms, it was good to have a positive experience for once ! A lot of thanks

  Peter Hadfield: This works really well - I love it. I had an existing iOS ver of this apk and a number of maps that I'd paid for. I'd assumed I'd have to buy maps once more from the Google shop but Saskia in customer services sorted me out quickly and everything is now working well on both iOS and android device. Can't thank Saskia enough - so refreshing to deal with an efficient customer services department.

  Jan Fielden: This is by far the best Apk for walkers and bikers! I have used it for a few years now and it just gets better and better. It's simple to use with seamless transition through the different map scales and types. The GPS functionality works beautifully and has helped me numerous times to receive back on track. Offline mapping and planning routes are a pleasure with this Apk and there is a large library of fresh walks around Britain to download. The help squad are perfect! Rapid response to queries and very helpful. A very professional Apk and help squad. It beats the socks off all another mapping apks.

  Daniel Taylor: This is a solid apk which does what it says on the tin. I tried a couple alternatives but this offers simplest, best value approach. What I like and don't; PROS Quick OS maps- both 1:50k and 1:25k. Large map places which are cheap and simple to manage. Reliable. Nice route functions with site to back it up Simple interface- its all really clear what you're doing- some apks in this field are impossible to figure out. This one I got right away. CONS Couple of functions I'd like eventually like Points of Interest. Would like some more route sharing options in the apk rather than having to do that via the site. Would like to add pictures to routes. You can see elevation profiles if you load up to the site but maybe we should have that function in the apk too?

  John Burns: I have been using this apk on the iPad for over two years on a weekly basis for hill walking. Absolutely brilliant, simple to use, OS maps are very reasonably priced, can track routes time distant speed altitude etc, upload or download routes to and from the internet. Had to speak to Help to transfer my iPad maps to my Android device device, they gave me a first class response, fast to answer with sensible instructions.

  Toby Fisher: I live in the Lake District and absolutely love this apk for plotting, navigating and reviewing my scrambles. When I am meeting a group I use the apk to plot a route then send out to the another walkers so they can see what I'm planning before we begin. I also have an expensive Garmin handheld with OS maps installed but the maps so much better on my phones screen through this apk so I've beautiful much ditched the Garmin. I've also contacted the help squad for assist and was very impressed with their help.

  phil evans: Does exactly what you wish it to do, always pinpointed my position when on hills - and as a plus you can record your walk/s for future reference. I required assist with map purchases and devs were very fast in replying and sorting out my fix. All in all an perfect apk which I now have on both iOS and Android device
