We can fix things, really we do! The apk is a DNS changer for mobile and Wi-Fi networks which works from Android device ver 4.3 (Jelly Bean). The apk was born to change DNS on KitKat, but it has been ported to Lollipop, Marshmallow and Nougat. From ver 1.3.0 it has been backported to Android device 4.3 Jelly Bean MR2, too. With this tool you can • Bypass internet censorship when based upon DNS blocking. • Overcome an Android device limitation: there's no system setting to change mobile DNS. • Speed up internet connection. You can search a lot of articles on the web which present different benchmarks of Domain Name Servers performances and how they affect your navigation (your mileage may vary). • Hold in sync mobile and Wi-Fi DNS in fact from v1.2.0 the apk can handle Wi-Fi connections, too. Features • Automatic DNS change when a mobile connection gets activated (can be disabled). • Automatic DNS change when a Wi-Fi connection gets activated (can be disabled). • Automatic DNS change when an ethernet connection gets activated (can be disabled). • Wi-Fi filter based on SSID, so you can automatically apply DNS only to certain connections (can be disabled). • Custom DNS values. • Almost zero memory and CPU usage, because it's not a service. • Notifications allow you know that the apk is working (can be disabled). • Automatic DNS flush without need to reset the device. • DashClock integration, to hold an eye on the DNS in use. • It comes prepacked with the most common DNS services. • Easy and clean interface (Holo for KitKat, Material for Lollipop+) • Advertisement free. Erwin B: Samsung S5 from sprint had lost dns ability on some ip's, this apk fixed the trouble. Thanks guys, and sprint, thanks for what ever modernize you slipped in on us that screwed things up ! Trouble also occured at same time on sons S5 so it was a system induced trouble.

Chong Kok Hoong: Updated from previous comment where it freezes: Turns out my superSu was not installed after my latest flashing of firmware and the apk will wait for root permission before loading further. After installing superSU, everything works ok now and I am now running on GoogleDNS. Totally suggest the apk for anyone that lives in country with slow ISP DNS

steve millard: Of all dns 'fixers/changers' 'OVERRIDE DNS is the only one' to work using mobile data, and consistently very well! An absolute must have for a confident mobile data connection. Mathew Nichols: Only DNS apk that works with OpenVPN! I'm running the recent Cyanogenmod and I use the old "OpenVPN Settings" apk for a client TAP tunnel. "OpenVPN Settings" doesn't correctly enable the "Use VPN DNS" option on KitKat, so I had to seek an alternative. I can use the VPN's DNS if I edit the KitKat WiFi adapter GUI settings to use a static IP instead of DHCP, and assign the VPN default gateway address, but this has another effects being static. I have tried the terminal command "setprop net.dns1" (and 2) and I have tried the "DNS Changer" apk. Both the Android device stock browser and Google Chrome ignore the VPN DNS using this "setprop way" and DNS requests leak. These ways only work for routing the VPN DNS request correctly in Firefox. I have tried the "DNS forwarder" apk with the VPN default gateway address, but this doesn't work at all and there is no internet access. Please hold up the good development. The awesome word will spread in an age of compromised data and privacy!

Ivan Salas: The only one that works I've tried a few another DNS modifiers on the Play Shop, including a few that worked on 4.2, but none worked. This is the only one that has worked flawlessly for me. Just add wireless connection help and you'll have a prefect apk.
