Ver 5.10 has major changes, MUST read below before updating. 1. Windows side also need updating from http://pdanet.co/install 2. Original WiFi Hotspot feature remains in the separate FoxFi apk if you still need it, just install from Play Shop. You can also search previous (4.19) ver of PdaNet+ at http://pdanet.co/install/old 3. Fresh place permission needed by Android device due to WiFi scan API call. Please be aware that with no root access there are technical limitations of what an apk can do. We test our best to offer the "most convenient solution possible" for sharing smartphone Internet but it may not be an "ideal" or "universal" solution (e.g. a normal WiFi Hotspot). It may not work for particular devices. =====WiFi Direct mode (fresh!) ==== PdaNet+ now comes with a completely fresh "WiFi Direct Hotspot" feature that works on all Android device phones 4.1 or later. It allows you to connect computers and tablets to your smartphone using WiFi BUT it will require you to either install our client apk or setup proxy depending on what device you are connecting to the smartphone. You can activate "WiFi Direct Hotspot" in PdaNet+ then tap the "Assist!" button for detail instructions. *If your Windows computer does not see the hotspot during pairing please do two things: 1. Reset Hotspot on the smartphone. 2. Click on "Present All WiFi Direct Hotspot". It will verify if your adapter supports 5Ghz. ====FoxFi/WiFi Hotspot Mode (the old) ==== The original WiFi Hotspot feature remains in the separate FoxFi apk if you still need it. It has ceased to function on a lot of newer smartphone models due to carrier updates. Even when it works, your hotspot usage may still be metered (see plan 2 below). WiFi Direct Hotspot should solve both problems. However the fresh feature is not meant to help mini game devices, TVs or TV streaming devices. =====USB Mode===== USB mode works on all Android device phones (except for some ZTE/Alcatel models). It allows connection from Windows or Mac. In addition, there is a "WiFi Share" feature that can further turn Windows into a WiFi Hotspot so that you share PdaNet Internet with another devices. *If your smartphone is not recognized by your computer after connecting USB, please see http://pdanet.co/driver =====Bluetooth Mode===== You can use Bluetooth mode to connect Windows. Although WiFi Direct mode is preferred. =====Do I need this software?===== The PdaNet tool has been around since the first Treo smart smartphone in 2003. With over 30 million downloads in total, it must be something that everyone needs, right? Well...it really depends on the type of data plan you have for your smartphone. There are 4 kinds of data plans from most carriers: 1. Your data plan (limited or infinite) does not let you to turn on the mobile hotspot feature on the smartphone (it prompts you to call your carrier). 2. Your data plan is infinite and you can turn on mobile hotspot from your smartphone to use it. But hotspot usage is "metered" versus a cap (say 5G/month). After that the speed will be throttled to a crawl. (FoxFi can't avoid this!) 3. Your data plan is infinite, and you can turn on mobile hotspot from your smartphone with infinite LTE usage and no throttling cap. This plan does NOT exist or not intended. But we have seen loopholes on some smartphone models to let it. 4. You data plan is limited and it allows you to turn on mobile hotspot from your smartphone. The mobile hotspot usage goes under the same data plan limit. If your plan falls under 1 or 2, you will need to use PdaNet+. If your plan belongs to 3 or 4 then PdaNet+ will not create any difference. If you are unsure what plan you have, it won't hurt to always use PdaNet+. ======================= Gratis edition of PdaNet+ will have timed usage limit, otherwise it is same as full version. Sprint and AT&T may not let you to install our apk from Play Shop, please install the app file directly from http://pdanet.co/install or install from the computer side.

Stephan Mann: Verizon's recent tool modernize will block it!! Heads up Verizon players. This apk is unbelievable. Certain cell providers have disabled the tethering capability of most phns now and this is a super good apk to tether and WiFi connect. Use it in my smartphone to my laptop and have no problems. Did purchase the make batter since the gratis apk can time out, but what do you expect for gratis. Good apk!!

It works ☺ Despite having the occasional error and the WiFi hotspot and wireless connection direct hotspot didn't work for me, I'm still giving this apk 5 stars seeing as I have straight talk and they don't let certain devices from certain cell smartphone carriers to tether or hotspot, This apk actually works it allowed me to Bluetooth hotspot and usb tether to my computer seemlessly create sure you download / install the pdanet+ apk on your device your trying to share your internet with then.. BAM!! Internetz

A Google user: Unfortunately this doesn't work at all with Android device 'P' beta - is there an modernize on its method? Apart from that major point, it's good! Just to add, I contacted the developers and that they informed me that the trouble is that Android device now demands 5GHz wireless connection direct - it won't use 2.4GHz.. I've just got the appropriate dongle and everything is now working once more. A large thanks to the developers who were really helpful! Five stars!!!

Jenifer Harrison: I receive infinite 4glte data with 8 gigs of hotspot with my carrier. Once I use all my 8 gigs of hotspot I switch to the PDA apk and it lets me tether my 4glte data for gratis on my laptop. I receive the same internet speeds (sometimes even faster speeds) that I receive with my hotspot. So awesome bye 3g hotspot speeds after 8 gigs of hotspot done. Thank you to the makers of this apk. It's very much appreciated.
