  Sandeep Kumar: This is just excellent. Simple method to save a peak and download accessible gpx tracks. The map display is smooth and very quick (as compare to Backcountry Navigator). The UI is much simpler than Backcountry Navigator. The only thing missing is an integrated compass. I know there are a few compass apks. But a little compass arrow integrated/overlayed on the map place will be so much more useful. Or the ability to auto-rotate the map based on the direction the smartphone is pointed at (like how google maps does during vehicle navigation). The ability to track the route like how RunKeeper, Runtastic, etc. do will be also useful.

  Garrett McLean: This apk is good! Good program for those who have peakbagging illness! Recently my accents have not been uploading. Tried clearing the cache and reinstalling the apk, but when I test to add an ascent it invariably says "ascent will be uploaded later", even when connected to the internet. Please advise!

  Keith Winston: Good apk to locate/identify nearby mountains. It links to the peakbagger database and can download tracks directly into the apk. It tracks your place (with permission) so can be used to follow a downloaded track. I've used it a few times to add additional peaks to my trip when I have the time. It helped me search mountains close to me and navigate to the trailhead. Sometimes, I just wonder about the names of mountains I am driving by and can begin the apk to search out.

  Rick DeAngelis: I love this apk! I've been using the main website and ListofJohn for a few years. The idea of having access through my cellphone never appealed to me. Nevertheless I downloaded the apk and tried it. It works really well. I'm able to work on my peak lists and research in a streamlined method that is very enjoyable and convenient. Also, the links to ListofJohn and Summit post are very helpful. I'm sure there are some tweaks that should create it even more useful but altogether I really like it.

  Charlie Winger: I've been using this apk since it first came out and each modernize just makes it more functional. The UI is very simple to understand and use. I present it to my mates and they immediately are able to use it for their outdoor adventures. If you don't like this apk I recommend you go back to those old worn out paper maps! I think someone popular said "Don't leave home without it!".

  James Chou: I use this apk for peakbagging Sierra Club's Hundred Peak List. This is the best apk I haveI inspected and it is completely FREE. Another apks might be gratis but you need to pay extra subscription for download topo maps to you smartphone for offline use. Large plus is Peakbagger can import Google Earth KML files into this apk to display tracks. This is how I use the map: before I set out for bagging a mountain, I begin Peakbagger, find for that peak in apk and save that peak for offline use. Next I go to HundredPeakSection to download KML file for that peak to my smartphone. Begin that KML file with Peakbagger and voila. I do mostly solo hikes so Peakbagger provides me a peace of mind knowing that I am never lost as long as GPS and smartphone works. Of course a traditional map, compass and be familiarize with your route is a must. This iapp is a backup. Create sure to bring external smartphone batteries as backup.

  Erin Kusch: I've been looking for a awesome gps map apk for a while and couldn't't be more satisfied about this one. I love being able to DL maps, making it easier to see my progress while linked to GPS on the trail. The peak specific weather reporting has been a gift from the trail gods. The fact that this apk is completely gratis with zero pop up adds blows my mind. I have already spread the word. At least 4 of my hiking community now love it. Awesome job Peakbagger!

Place maps are good supplemented with another user's trip reports are often helpful. You can even add another user's GPS tracks to the maps.
