  Michael Poole: Lights are expensive, but there aren't a lot of options for apk controlled RGB LED Christmas lights. If you're looking for lights that allow you pick custom colors these are good. The lights can display up to 5 custom colors at once. There aren't a lot of functions accessible for custom colors though. I have not had any connection problems. Colors are bright and vivid. Hoping to pick up more strands on sale. You can connect up to 12 on one controller box. Apk can control multiple boxes.

  Dean Zimmermann: Have used for two seasons. A few lights are wired wrong, causing them to present wrong color. Hooks are not in same direction so OK for a tree, but not on eves. Can't make your own pattern or load fresh ones. For those who see all blue lights, create sure you've set # of bulbs in use.

  Lewis Johnston: Tool is a tiny clunky. Can only dance to melody when played in the apk which is bizarre given today's globe of using apks like Spotify. Very tiny documentation. Limited customization. Feels thrown together at the latest min. But, it technically website l does it's job of changing colors albeit not wonderfully. Would love to control the lights with other tool if an API was created accessible.

  Sarah Cochran: The apk is fine. The largest improvement that should be created is updating the apk to let for the lights to be controlled by streaming melody, through Pandora or You Tube. I wish to play our tree's lights to melody but do not care to download hours of Christmas melody to my smartphone. :/

  Michelle Gosnell: It's a nice concept, but we have to hold resetting the WiFi "box", which is rather annoying. We've contemplated retuning it a few times, but then we receive it to work, and we hold hoping it'll latest. We're optimists. Also, it's 2 days before Christmas. Maybe re-installing the apk will work? Sigh.

  Jeff Duszak: My wife picked up a Starter kit latest year on sale. So I only have 1 controller box with a single 25 light strand. -1 for the painful set up. Unlike most another "smart" peripherals' apks, this apk does not handle connecting to your wireless connection. You have to change networks back and forth in your device's settings. I even had to go as far as enabling airplane mode, then turning wireless connection back on. -1... and that's generous.. for no scheduling feature. Otherwise its beautiful nifty. 20 preset "functions", and a function to cycle thru 17 of them. You can adjust the speed of the functions. I didn't play much with the custom functions. Once you can receive it working, its a nice step up from generic static or blinky lights. If I can receive more on sale, I probably will.

  Will Johnson: Worth the 70% off but I'd never pay full retail after seeing how half-baked the apk is (and seems to have been for the past 5 years without smart home updates or integration.) the best i can hope for is finding a smart plug to turn these on and off at specific times. The only redeeming quality of this setup is that they retain their color sequence when powered off and back on.

  Christopher Strawn: *Edit* DO NOT BUY THESE LIGHTS! They may latest a season and that is it. You'll have lights die or stay steady blue very quickly. For the price that is completely unacceptable. Bulbs are not changeable either!! My largest complaint is no automatic on or off. Would be good to integrate with Wink also or Alexa.Wish the customization was a tiny more. Also, want you should edit the factory functions or had more control. Choose the ones you wish to cycle would be a awesome feature too.

  Marcos Romero: Bought starter kit and 2 extenders, realized not all the lights would light and exchanges 3 various starnds 3 times. Finally got all three strands to work for a second or two before it stopped working correctly. After changing the order of strands and playing with the connection ports I manage to receive 2 of the 3 working. Insult to injury, the colors were off from the 2 stands. Good idea but not worth buying multiple boxes just to receive working lights and god forbid you pit them up and they malfunction...

  Dale Hardy Jr: I had bought 2 hub packs & 3 addons. Got home & found that red on 1-2 bulbs was out on 4 of the 5 light strings. I exchanged the awful ones & 3 of 4 also had awful bulbs. Worst part is you can't replace the bulb. If one led goes out the whole strand needs replaced or sent to Philips to fix, that takes 6-8 weeks they said. Major bummer! I really wanted them. Everything else was good and worked well and I had no problems setting it up. Guys please create bulbs replaceable. Will save us all the headaches. Thanks.

  Art Thompson: 2 stars for not connecting to smart home hub or voice control and lack of customizabke features. If they fix that will adjust rating. Nice concept. Lights are bright. Does not tell you only connects to 2.4Ghz and not 5Ghz wireless connection band. Does not connect to smartthings hub, google home or alexa. Customize is lacking a lot of functionality. Very disappointed in apk at this point. Hoping they will improve it with more abilities in customize and color selection. Ability to enter RGB values for colirs would ve nice. Ability to chase colors in customize would also be nice.
