Control melody on one Android device device from other. Install this apk on both devices, connect them by Wireless connection or Bluetooth, then remotely play, pause, skip, seek, change the volume, browse files, choose tracks, etc. You can even copy files between the devices. If this apk doesn't work how you expect, please check the settings, as you can change how the apk behaves (e.g. present album art, connect automatically, etc). Includes presets to control playback of most famous melody apks and also a few video apks. (I can't list them here as it may violate Play shop guidelines to use another brand names in my description). See http://fk33.co.uk/compatible_apps.html for info of apk presets. If the apk you wish to control isn't listed you can add it as a custom apk by putting in its pack name (see below under ADDING APPS). However some apks simply cannot be controlled on remote devices as they ignore media commands. It's their developers' faults for not implementing that functionality. USAGE: If using Bluetooth, create sure devices are paired, then receive your remote control device, choose the device you wish to control from the list of devices, and press "This Device is the Remote". If using Local Network, press "Run Server" on the playback device, and "Run Remote" on the remote control device, and follow the instructions which appear. If using Wireless connection Direct, press "Scan for Devices" on both devices. Then on the remote control device, choose the device you wish to control from the list of devices, and press "This Device is the Remote". When connected, select the apk you wish to control from the drop-down list of preset apks. Create sure that apk is running on the playback device. From the menu you can select options such as Copy Files, Search Playlists, Search Tracks/Albums, etc. In the settings you can turn on album art, and the seekbar (works with some apks only). You can remove advertisements from the apk with an in-app purchase from the menu ($0.99). QUITTING: To quit the apk, create sure you are disconnected from the another device first, then press the back button. ADDING APPS: Select "Custom 1" from the bottom of the list of users on the remote device. On the playback device choose "Set custom apk packages" from the menu. In the place for Custom apk 1, enter the pack name of the apk you wish to control, and press OK. You can use an apk like Pack Name Viewer to receive the pack name of the apk you wish to control. dsq audio: This is a very useful apk for my setup. I have a Fiio M9 running Tidal on my high end stereo connected by audio cable. I installed this apk on the Fiio using its app ver and set it up as Server. I also installed this apk on my Samsung S8 and set it as remote and connect to the Fiio M9. I can now control my playlist previous next song pause volume etc. on the Fiio M9 The only problem is that my Samsung S8 is not getting the song name & artist details to present on the remote apk.

Steve Smith: Tried some recommendations from the developer (thanks) but installing Rotation Control sorted it. Perfect for controlling Maple JB (com.sqr5.android.player_jb) in Scottish Dancing Class. Bluetooth means you can dance yourself and begin the melody without a direct line of sight to the user. Would be 5 stars if it didn't always place the smartphone in portrait mode. Can receive landscape mode by starting iplayer. Btw Maple very awesome for SCD, has tempo control. scs

Son of 8-Bits: Hate it! Nah, I'm kidding. Loved that answer you gave to the awful review. This apk works perfectly. Are there any features in the paid ver that are not in this gratis ver? And I have a recommendation, if it's possible technically to implement: hold the connection alive when you back out of the apk. It's only a little annoyance since pressing home works, but, it would be nice. Also, I'm using it with poweramp, paid ver, but that doesn't work when I choose it. It does work when I choose the regular one, maybe it's redundant in the list of media user apks?

James Bond: Unable to connect to my Samsung Galaxy S2 smartphone from my HTC One M9. Each time I touch 'This Device is The Remote', it shows 'Connection failed'. Not sure what else I could check to create this work . Will come back to check for updates of this notice and change the rating. After installing a fresh battery in my smartphone (battery was over five yrs old), I performed a factory restart to clear out the cache memory. Upon reinstalling all the apks, I thought I could give this apk other test. It WORKS!!!

Adam Kane: I'm now able to have some android-on-android fun. Very nice. Without root I can now remote control almost everything. Adding just 4 icons that sends the up, down, left, right arrows input and 1 "blank" editable icon would create this apk true sexy... any plans to add some little features like that or is your vision complete? peace

Cheeky Munkies: Unbelievable, well done. Saved me changing my whole hifi system to one with a remote control... . Reasonable price (bought advertisement gratis) . Tidal control . Simple interface . Not awful connection(WiFi connection good but bluetooth and direct were fiddly and couldn't receive them to work) Ignore the awful reviews. Gratis to test - if it works for your usage (remote control for other device), it is excellent!
