Soniya Mone: 5th and Final Modernize: Help, large scream out. You guys are good. Tenor clef is doable, but create sure you're getting awesome shots. Digital files: pdf-convert to jpg using at least 300dpi, jpeg-must be a minimum of 1MB in size, screenshots-take a pic with your camera (not official, but works for me). Physical copies, I didn't have much problem there. I use Samsung devices because I feel like they have better cameras, but I guess create sure the camera settings are giving you the max resolution? Love the apk! Hold up the awesome work!

Sambaji: At latest an affordable melody score OCR scanner! Please add the option to turn the flash on when taking pics of scores in darker places. Thanx.

Andy Barnhart: It works quite well. I have a lot of old sheet melody that I may convert, but one thing I really wanted was to receive some melody in an old blues piano instruction ebook I have that is missing the tape (yes, tape, it's that old). I am able to input the songs and create a track to play along with. Someone else mentioned that just making a single track is a trouble. Type of real, but it can be worked around. The best (IMO) method I have found is using image editing tool to separate the staffs and combine all pages for each staff into one photo that you place in an album so you can begin it. The another method is to import the file into 2 various tracks and delete the notes you don't wish or filter them out during playback. Depends on which editor you have; I pay for awesome programs. I do have to accept that things should be simpler. You code like I do. This is written like a utility apk you are going to use in house. You place all the files (picture, MIDI and XML) into an album using a file name that is a munged datetime. It's player tolerant as opposed to player friendly. I am fine with that because it does what I need better than the others I tried. More than fine - you receive 5 stars for functionality.

Gordon Eccles: This works very well. As long as a awesome image of the melody is taken, the apk does a awesome job of playing the melody. I also tried SnapNPlay, but it did not work nearly as well.

Rose Rodent: Can't fault it so far. Compared to price of Photoscore it's so much cheaper, so although slower it exported xml to Sibelius ok, a piano score with grace notes in and two upper parts. Missed a few info, particularly first as second time bars, but to date all my readers have missed these. Simple to tidy up in Sibelius.

Frank Jones: Anyone who has an inkling of what's involved in optical melody recognition couldn't fail to be mightily impressed by Playscore Pro. Sure, there are a few features that'd be nice to have (e.g. handling multi-page scores) but there are workarounds for those for the time being. The help the developers offer is unbelievable too and I'm looking forward to fresh features being added in the future. Don't hesitate to buy this. It gets the job done and, compared to the tournament, is an absolute bargain.

Justin Geronimo: Since my review of the Primary ver I have had plenty of time to test out the Pro and can't suggest it highly enough. The success you have with it really does depend on the quality of the camera on your phone, though - with a high end smartphone it will cope with just about anything I tried ( - being an upper string user, this was exclusively polyphonic violin melody). I now have a few ringtones in use on my smartphone derived from Wieniawski Etude-Caprices :-) and it even had a fair crack at the fugue from the Bartok Solo Sonata!! (So note that with the Pro ver, you can save the output to file, and import your own photos. It will also cope with eg melody pdfs saved as photos.) I am only hoping that Santa will shortly be sending me an even better smartphone to increase the success and fun I am having with PlayScore Pro!

James Nicholas West: Good apk love it. Would give it 5 stars if I should change the play back instrument.

Bob Cooperrider: Apk works but interface is too spare At first it appeared the Save/Export function didn't work. I had to go to the developer's Web website to look at the documentation there to search out that the MID and XML files are exported along with the JPG taken by the camera. But the documentation is wrong about where they are place. I finally found them in the DCIM/Camera folder along with the JPG. This should all be avoided by improving player feedback with a popup notice showing the files have been exported and where. Even better would be a changeable setting for where we'd like the files to go. There are no configurable settings. You're just on your own to test to figure out what's going on in PlayScore. The actual OCR works fairly well on a easy score. I haven't tried a complex one yet. My workflow is PlayScore to NotateMe to clean up the exported XML file. Then using Dropbox, transfer the XML to my PC where I import it into Sibelius for adding chord names and lyrics. It's laborious. But once I receive the process refined it will be faster than note by note entry into Sibelius via my keyboard and mouse on my PC.

Alex Prochot: It's not excellent but I think this apk is beautiful unbelievable technology. Having a awesome camera is essential because the apk works method better on my smartphone than my daughter's. I'd really like to see the ability to change instruments in future releases.

Johna Miller: Does not read eighth note triplets that start with eighth rests. Unfortunately, the particular song that I bought this for is full of them. I even converted the PDF to an photo file, so I know the read was clean. Disappointing.

Michael Boddy: Can Do Better Apk does a reasonably awesome job playing sheet melody, but even in awesome light it may skip notes. Sheet melody MUST be photographed ONE page at a time or analysis will fail, and there is no option to photograph and analyze multiple pages. Difficult to keep phone steady enough to receive picture quality apk can analyze. Perhaps test a 5 sec video, instead. As far as I can determine the apk does not generate and/nor save any MIDI file. Apk NEEDS ability to browse and play MIDI files supposedly generated.

Steven Wallace: Works but should be so much better Scan a single page and play it back, it typically works ok (maybe with the odd niggle or two) but really needs the ability to scan multiple pages so the entire song from a ebook can be played and build up a single midi file. The UI functions are very primary and a tiny bit of usability engineering applied, this apk should be good... unfortunately in its current state, it's just "fine". It just needs a tiny love applied to create it good... the hard work is done.

Andrew Dabrowski: Nice test This is only intended to play easy scores, not for digitizing Bach. No method to correct errors like misread clef. All voice written to a single track.

Alexander Pacha: The claims and the price is higher than what it delivers. I've inspected it with a couple of songs but it failed often and created much mistakes, although the photos were crisp and well lit. At least it has a easy enough interface that makes operating simple. Using this for anything more than getting a fast idea of a few notes is definitely not an option.

Not as awesome as it looks I inspected the gratis ver first. It looked awesome, played well. I bought the pro ver. The images have to be excellent horizontal, a bit out off line and it misses a lot of notes. You can only import images from the photoalbum or the camera. The flash does not work. I would like to be able to import a scan I created. The effect would be better then a image. The xml file is not usable. The mid file is only in piano (not changeable) and to a lot of errors. Can I have a refund?
