This calculator enables clinicians to enter clinical data and generate risk estimations based on two famous models: NELA (the National Emergency Laparotomy Audit) and P-POSSUM. These risk scoring programs are widely used to risk assess patients for emergency laparotomy. Risk prediction is suggested clinical best practice and PoRC: Perioperative Risk Calculator allows you to undertake this quickly and easily. As an apk, it does not require an internet connection and stores no private or patient information. The internal algorithm is CE marked by the MHRA and has been developed for clinical use.
