Fresh alerts will appear on the status bar, and by choosing it, you can read the details.You can also select how urgent of a notification to receive, based on the NWS Severity. An Extreme alert coming through? Then you'd probably like vibrate, lights AND bell for that! But a easy Wind Warning? Probably not as much. You can select the level of response in the preferences.Pro Weather Alert has all of the features of Easy Weather Alert, and more!+ No advertisements.+ Monitor multiple places, each with an intuitive name you set.+ See the info and instructions of all alerts for all places.+ See where around you the alerts are using the Alert Map. No more wondering if you're driving into or out of awful weather.+ Select how to be notified (lights, bell, vibrate), and decide which alerts will override your smartphone silence settings.+ Sort and Filter the alerts in the list, by severity or place.+ Two alert levels (“emergency” and “urgent”) are customizable, in case you wish lights, bell, and vibrate for extreme alerts, and just lights for severe alerts. All another weather alerts will give a easy message on the action bar.+ Individually choose which NWS alerts you wish to be considered "Emergency" or "Urgent"+ Alerts hold updated automatically as long as you have connectivity+ Search your alert place by GPS or network place, and have alerts follow your smartphone as you move.+ An apk widget added to your home screen allows for simple on/off toggling of lights, vibrate and sound settings. The alerts will still be checked and place on your status bar though, so you can hold an eye on it during class or church, without it causing distraction. You can also toggle the place following feature to save battery when not driving.+ Key words and phrases list. Make a list of words or phrases, and when an alert is received that includes those words or phrases, it will be marked in the alerts list with an icon, and the phrases will be highlighted when you read the alert info.+ Email an alert to mates or send via text notice (**requires Contacts List permission**), so they can be warned as well.+ Post your alert to our Fb wall or Twitter feed! This is especially useful for non-weather alerts, such as Kid Abduction Emergencies.+ Change your alert polling times to maximize battery life.+ Constant alerting annoying? Highly configurable to suit your private needs at home or while travelling across the USA. Also,Global Can of Worms really gets customer service the right method. I sent an email one morning about multiple alerts and got a unbelievable email response which answered my concerns and explained the reason for the alerts within hours. Melissa Bernhauser: Want I should buy a desk unit that works this well! This apk works so much better than my stand alone weather alert radio, not only in features but in performance as well. The apk alerts me 5 to 10 mins faster than my desktop weather alert only radio. Being able to set which alerts I don't wish to hear about and being able to set my own custom alert notice are good. I created a file of the same obnoxious unmistakable weather warning used on television. The best part is how it focuses on the place you select so you aren't alerted to weather that isn't going to actually affect you. LOVE this apk!

A Google User: Almost 5 years with this apk and it's still excellent. I wish awesome, quick, no-frills alerts and this apk does just that. What I don't wish is random alerts waking me up in the middle of the night, and this apk doesn't do that. Configure it and forget it, it'll be ready when you need it.

So I decided to purchase Pro Weather Alert before Long Track Tornado Season starts here in Oklahoma. Matthew Hale: Simplistic - Reliable - Customizable Alerts This apk despite its simplistic player interface design is very reliable with getting the alerts when having data connection. Which is 99.9% of the time in my place. The settings let's you select how to be alerted and which warnings you wish to be alerted for makes it good customization. So you can exclude flood watches and another things that aren't urgent. Lastly the size only takes up less than 2mb place on your smartphone. All this for less than half the price of Storm Shield.
