About the application:

Become the first human ever to visit another galaxies by running millions of light years in what feels like 5 kilometers! You’ve volunteered for the human trials of an intergalactic device that’s powered by your feet and defies the laws of physics. You will set out on a adventure of discovery, meeting true galaxies in the cosmos and learning what makes them special. If the technology holds together, your 5K trip will conclude with a visit to a supermassive black hole from which there is no escape! Hooray! Race Through Place is a fitness experience designed to not only teach you about various celestial bodies but also to give you a sense of their actual distance, where 5 kilometers becomes proportional to nearly 55 million light years. The adventure begins in the Milky Method, which is more than a tasty candy bar, but is also our home galaxy. You’ll run through different galaxies with names like Sombrero, Needle, Black Eye, and Whirlpool, culminating in a visit to the first black hole that has ever been photographed by humans, the supermassive black hole at the center of a galaxy called M87. This narrated audio journey is designed to EDUTAIN with the option to listen to your own melody between galactic stops as well as display actual photos of the different heavenly bodies you pass. Brought to you by the (fake) SpaceNEXT Industries with assist from (not fake) Science ATL, we are excited to transform a humdrum 5K into an all-out sciencey fun time!
