  A Google user: Had related issues to others with communication error / manual timeout every few weeks Checked signal strength and was weak Got WiFi range extender and positioned closer towards Rainbird unit and is much better so far. The apk is beautiful useful and I especially love the automatic seasonal adjustment Ability to capture images of the zones helps remember coverage of zones. A very useful feature when checking and repairing reticulation.

People need to have patience... your communicating with a device that has a fraction of the computing power that your smartphone has... The controller also connects to Alexa via the Rain Bird skill and has quite a few commands to control every zone...well played Rain Bird!

So I easily doubled the amount of watering happenings based on the forecast and restart them later when not needed. Always connects quick even when I'm over 500 km away. Tried right after the Sept 24 2018 modernize and works perfectly.

The player interface to edit or set up sprinkling tools is good - it's easier than doing it on the actual controller unit itself! So far I'm extremely satisfied!

  David Ellis: Fresh to the controller but so far very impressed & a unique thumbs up to EZ Irrigation To receive Android device to work you need to switch to Flight Mode & switch back once the connection is created. Google it to follow the process which is quite straight forward

  Wayne Haidle: Help in January was good getting set up with a dry run. Now in May putting into actual use, access was accessible only through local 2.4GHz wireless connection. Technical help was good once getting through massive volume notice which simply hangs up with no occasion for waiting or callback. It took a couple long 2 day sessions, but all connectivity appears to be working properly now via wireless connection or cell service on 2 Samsung Android device devices. Functional control appears to be adequate at this time.

  A Google user: I don't have wireless connection, I use it in hotspot mode only. Please add permanent hotspot to network settings, otherwise works good. I will give five stars after permanent hotspot is added. ****Modernize**** Wireless connection module firmware updated to v1.34, permanent hotspot now works. Awesome job Rain Bird.

  John Luckett: Latest modernize added all zones and better functionality to manual watering. 5 star now. Needs an all place try function. For reason about half the time the seasonal adjustment is not reflected in the percentage for each tool but no another issues accessing via the apk. It would be nice if the apk had a feature to force this modernize to happen in addition to the nightly automatic update.k

  A Google user: Love this apk! The ability to control your irrigation from anywhere at anytime is a cost saver. Speaking as a professional landscaper who installs and manages extremely really big two wire systems, this setup is absolutely excellent for little residential apks. A budget friendly ver of what the large boys receive to use. Good job as always, Rain Bird!!!

  namanish: The apk works well although it should be better documented that only one device can communicate with the controller at a time. I would like to see shut-off periods implemented into the apk to truly automate irrigation as here in Perth, WA we have a period between June and August where we aren't allowed to irrigate our gardens.
