Rain coming? Check Raindar! Animated Doppler radar on Google Maps for the US. Now also on Google TV and tablet! Going somewhere and you're not sure if you need to bring your umbrella? Wish to check if there's going to be new powder snow on the slopes in Tahoe tomorrow? Check Raindar! Raindar displays animated Doppler radar photos on your Google Map. When you begin Raindar it automatically focuses on your place so you can quickly see if there is precipitation coming your method. When pressing the find button on your smartphone you can now also find for places within the US! Raindar works out of the box but has a lot of configuration options (see the latest changes page). Color: - green/yellow/red is rain - blue/white is snow Raindar can now also display storm tracks! It displays various icons for each of the 4 types of storms: - Yellow circle: thunderstorm - Yellow square: Hail Storm - Yellow diamond: Rotating Thunderstorm (Mesocyclone) - Magenta triangle: Tornado Vortex Signature (beautiful heavy!) When clicking on one of those icons a dialog will appear with detailed information. The storm tracks also display the direction and speed of the storm in the form of an arc. The arc is split in 3 parts: 20, 40 and 60 mins until the storm reaches that area. On Google TV: - Use the D-pad for navigate up/down/left/right - Use the media forward/back or next/previous buttons to zoom in and out Radar photos and storm track data courtesy of Weather Underground. Brad Brighton: Needs map fixed Love the apk and have used it for a few years, I recently upgraded to a quad HD smartphone and now the map doesn't scale to the smartphone resolution. Everything on the map is exceedingly little. Another apks using the Google maps api look normal after they updated.

Douglas Hill: I am a groundskeeper for a church, in Florida. I need to be able to see what the weather is.. Raindar shows me which method the storms are going, how intense they are, and it helps me schedule work, and protect equipment from water hurt. It is an excellant apk. I reccomend it to anyone working outdoors.

Robert Thomson: Raindar was very accurate and up to the min. Maps were very awesome also. It was hard to imagine better weather radar. In latest few weeks (early November 2017) however the performance has decreased dramatically. Gone from 5 star to 3 star at best.

Gregory Semrad: Good "true time" Radar. Another weather apks are usually 5-10 minute behind what is actually event in your place. This is as current a radar as I've found to actual weather happening. Also gives you "base reflectivity" & another Doppler radar settings. This is critical details when living in "Tornado Alley." A BIG THANK YOU TO THE DEVELOPER!
