  Eric Sturgeon: My go-to apk for recording my route on a map during hikes, paddles, etc. The most valuable thing for me is that I can download maps to be used offline and then the GPS tracks where I am on that map so I can reference it if I'm feeling lost or need to receive back to where I started. It's also cool to take pictures through the apk and the picture places are plotted on the map when you're done.

  Nijo Mountain: I like it because the player interface is simple to understand. also unlike another apks it is simple to leave notes images and voice notes that appear on the actual map. For example, note bear right or saw a poisonous snake here . One point to improve is on the smartphone accessing old hikes is time consuming. I had about 100 a year for 3-4 years and it takes to go screen by screen back 2 years ago.
