Jonathan Davis: This is a must have for anyone using these ebooks. It fixes what I search the largest deficiency of learning kanji from the first ebook, which is that while the ebook does give the stroke order, it doesn't present from which direction the strokes are drawn, making it much harder to draw the heroes as intended. The apk shows each of them being drawn, so you then have that details. The another large gain, of course, is the flash cards. The apk allows you to have various sets of them for whatever combination of heroes you select, and you can view them randomly, saving you the time of making your own flash cards as well as making it so that you have flash cards wherever you go. You can also use the apk to practice writing, which is definitely useful but not that good, since you're likely drawing the heroes with your thumb (since this is a mobile apk), and even if you have a touch-pen, the place is much larger than you'd be drawing on paper, so it's still a bit awkward. The apk also contains fixes from the errata (e.g. city versus village), though then you're left wondering whether the ebook or apk is right. So, the apk isn't excellent, but it's a large assist.

Joshua Herg: But I really wish to be able to use this across my smartphone and smartphone so perhaps add logging into an acc so my stories will transfer over. Also apk tends to crash a bit which can be tedious but another than that it saves alot of paper!

Kir Jarchow: Good when it doesn't crash

Mitchell Green: I have wanted this apk for years. Seeing it on Android device is good, and it looks very crisp and professional. The animated stroke order is good. The only thing missing is the Volume 2 and 3 content. I hope it comes soon! It would also be nice if choosing a primitive under a kanji's primitive list would link to all the kanji with that primitive, like using the primitive find option.

Nattawut Hunyek: I purchased this apk on my iPad. And i really like that it is now come to Android device. I want it will have RTK2&3 in the future.

Yoshi Inoue: The idea is nice but it's has the same bugs for ages, it's extremely instable apk and will crash if you go back any screen.

Malik Martin: Please make a multiple choice mode

Connor O'keefe: Crashes during review on GS8+ at the same point when scrolling through lists. Also, not as much customization as apks like Obenkyo. However, I purchased this apk for one reason: flashcards organized by Remembering the Kanji Vol. 2 chapters. This is the only apk I know of which is organized this method, and the flashcards are stable so far. However, for an "official apk" why are the flashcards laid out differently than Heisig recommends? Page 291 of Vol 2 Shows EXACTLY how this could look front and back. These flashcards are decent and will have to do, but why not follow the recommended way? It's directly laid out in the ebook and on Heisig's physical flashcards which can be purchased online.

Sam Borsman: Kanji animation not working (everything appears at once) and, as others have said, the stories from the ebook could be included along with the ability to add your own stories. A tiny more development and this should be awesome.

Dee Dawk: Crashed on me today, the drawing animations also play too quick to see the order. Sucks because this apk has a lot of potential but it seems they've given up on it.

Ben Gaskin: Some bugs and crashes. Even unfinished feature implementation: the x to clear the find box doesn't do anything for example.
User rated this game 3/5 on 2016-12-16
Chad Fluegel: Some of the Kanji are not in the official ebook, and so far, the Kanji for village and city have had their title swapped.

Pascal Ziegler: The apk is a awesome idea and complements the ebook. But on my Nexus 7 it reproducibly crashes every single time I press the back button. I have sent 100(?) crash reports for a month now. Does anyone read or care about them? I am certainly not the only one with this trouble. On my S3 mini the apk works ok though.

Joel Carvajal: I tried to contact the developer before posting this rating. No response received. I reported a crash that is very simple to replicate.

A Google user: Cannot import CSV stories without crashing silently. No tip - just boom... If you have stories on file you could probably wait for a release that fixed this problem. Not sure if it is coming though...

Edward Remon: I wish to like this apk. The Heisig Kanji ebook has been a godsend but this apk crashes when it hits specific kanji. I can't receive through a few decks of cards without having it crash. One example is when I receive to the cornerstone kanji flashcard it freezes. Here's hoping they work out these bugs or a better Heisig apk comes along. I know it was only a couple dollars but it could be gratis considering how a lot of problems it has.

Dominic Sargent: Why haven't you done the essential cross referencing work that would create this dictionary useful ?
User rated this game 2/5 on 2019-01-12
Dan G: I've had random crashes, but it crashes every single time I receive to the Kanji for "fortune-telling". If it's event on such an early one, it's probably only the first of a lot of that will crash the apk.

Kyosu Mashibahito: There are a lot of hero where you click on them and the apk crash for months not fixed.the best
User rated this game 2/5 on 2017-08-21
S. Elliot Perez: Crashes when using the find option, no method to quickly jump to higher stroke counts, no option to organize the kanji according to primitives as in the book's glossary. no heisig stories.

Daniel Hernandez: For $1.50 this apk NEEDS a built-in SRS. Gratis flashcard apks have built-in SRS's, and this one doesn't?
User rated this game 2/5 on 2019-08-27
Lee Oughton: The way itself is working well. The apk, however isn't. If I test to review over 100 kanji then the apk will definitely crash. It also crashes when I test to review 10 kanji. To be fair it just crashes all the time. I desperately wish to use this apk to review and once you've gone 50 heroes into a list of over 200 it receive frustrating to begin once more. As well as time consuming. At least I'm getting a thorough study o.O
User rated this game 1/5 on 2016-01-21
Enrico Viali: Besides crashing there are serious usability trouble: if you wish to create a study list with a lot of lessons you have to manually add them one by one, no choose all or multiple selections. The first volume is about 55 lessons. When you finish that nice task and test to review apk does not answer then you understand it's frozen, then crashes.

Igor Harden: This apk has nothing to do with "remembering the kanji" except the name. It crashes regularly and only consists of a few lists of kanji and their english meaning, no helpful tips, no pronunciation. Less functionality than some gratis apks.

Tedy Pranolo: The stories are not included. The preview photo is misleading.

K Singleton: Soon after I enter any volume it "unfortunately stops." Why oh why did I pay for this. A cheap bag of chips would have given me more comfort. DON'T DOWNLOAD!

Juvili Hernandez: *It can create your smartphone almost useless* It's hard to give 1 star to something similar to GREAT ebooks as Remembering the Kanji, but this apk is SO BAD that even turned my smartphone almost useless ALL THE TIME! I don't know if it has any type of hidden malware, but I've started to think so. I uninstalled the apk, and my smartphone went back to normal. I was so satisfied when I found the apk, it has exactly what I required to practice the kanjis of the ebooks, so I installed it right away on my smartphone, but it kept closing, so I uninstalled it the first day. Then, I tried on my smartphone, and the apk went just ok, and I was really satisfied, but the smartphone started to be slower and slower no matter what. All of the smartphone, horribly slow!!! I almost went crazy... I would give 0 stars if I should. You never expect such behavior from a paid apk. Gosh.... Don't waste your cash, even if the apk idea is good.

Chris Harris: Nice idea but so badly executed it shouldn't be on sale at all. Options are lacking to add chapters to study lists, for example, or delete study lists. iPhone ver is ok.

Adam Mills: Crashes constantly when trying to import Kanji stories from csv

Peter Tzenov: Since this is supposed to be the official apk I was expecting to see the original stories. Disappointing.
