  Richard Tian: Good apk! Does exactly what its advertised to. Looks good, has good functionality and is super responsive. Would love to see thumbs up/down functionality added. I love the volume control options from within the apk, but have also noticed that changing the volume outside of the apk (in lockscreen or via my pebble) would not change the volume of the playback on my PC. This is understandable since the volume of the playback on the PC is not directly linked to the device volume of the controller. Other problem I've noticed is that the device cannot control the playback while in battery saver unless the device is unlocked. I.e. cannot control from my pebble or from lockscreen. Once more, this is understandable as battery saver restricts wireless connection communication when locked. Would love to see workarounds for these tough problems as well playlist/queue control so I can switch playlists from the controller.

  Nick Waller: Does not search my device on the same network, using either 2.4 or 5 bands on my network. Custom IP doesn't work either. I place in my external IP, nothing on WiFi or smartphone data. Modernize: You must use your internal ip for the computer you plan to control. Want that was a tiny clearer, also would like a method to control externally as I have a static external IP however don't know when I'd use it besides when Gamestreaming maybe lol.

Only true critique I have is to refine the find function so that if I find an artist I receive the same options on my phone/tablet that are being displayed on the desktop.

No firewall, have correct internal ip configured Cant search anything labeled playbackApi. The only thing in my user that I have close to this is "Enable JSON API." Sorry to give one star, as I am sure this is an good remote and simple to use, but it simply wont search my computer in device list (using proper ip or not). And there are no instructions/FAQs on the site or online." Thank you Samuel, I changed my rating appropriately. Also, upon a reboot of my computer GPMDP informed me that Windows Firewall was blocking PlaybackAPI, and if I wanted to change that. I did and all is well. Nothing cooler than being able to control my exterior speakers from the corner of my property. Excellent for the upcoming Halloween party weekend! Works very well, takes some time for a song to begin, but that is a Google Play Melody thing (not nearly as snappy as Apple Melody). This remote works as advertised, and for gratis to boot! Method better than the Winamp remote I had to pay $2 for and which no longer works.
