Why do I need to change my resolution? # HDMI / TV-OUT / MIRACAST: You wish to adjust your screen resolution to fit your TV or External Monitor which is connected to your HDMI output to receive rid off the black bars? With Resolution Changer, you can set your resolution to fit perfectly to the external monitor. Additionally, with the HDMI Auto Resolution feature enabled, your device will detect your external HDMI Monitor and sets the screen resolution and density automatically to a selected preset. With overscan set, you can adjust your screen output padding to match excatly the External Monitor. # DEVELOPMENT You are developing apks and you wish to try your apk on various devices? Just use a device preset or make your own one to simulate the screen resolution and density of every possible device. # GAMES Your device is too slow for the recent mini games? Just change the resolution to a lower one and have fun your mini games with a higher framerate. Hints: If the device has issues with a choosen resolution, the default one will be restored after some seconds. Some apks like the launcher or the keyboard might not always scale correctly with every resolution. The application is still restricted to the technical conditions of the device. That means, you wont be able to select a resolution your device is not capable of displaying.

A Google user: Exactly what I was looking for. It changes the resolution while still keeping everything natural looking. In particular, Google Maps is noticeably faster at lower resolution. One trouble: the capacitive home keys no longer work, so I have to have other apk running to make soft keys (eats into screen true estate)

A Google user: I dropped my note 10.1, and about 3/4 of an inch of the left hand side of the screen is messed up and won't display anything. I was able to use the overscan feature of this apk to move the screen over so that nothing would display on the messed up part. Not a excellent solution, but cheaper than buying a fresh smartphone right now.

A Google user: Works well on my Samsung galaxy S3 with cyanogen mod 11, but it seems to be missing a very necessary feature. I can't figure out how to edit/delete player defined preset resolutions. Once you add a resolution to the list you're stuck with it unless you clear apk data in which case you end up clearing all the resolutions you've added instead of just the one you wanted to remove. I thought maybe if I added a fresh one with the same name it would effectively "edit" it, but it adds a duplicate instead.

A Google user: I tried with my CRT TV Sansui flat screen 21" connected to my Android device box, and tried to set screen size in set mode and clicked on my TV symbol but the screen display became too large only 2-3 words i should see in such large size in regular mode i chosen 4:3 display did become little but it is not showing full screen so video streamings are not full screen.

A Google user: I have an AppRadio2 in the vehicle and was looking for something that should automatically change screen PPI setting of my Nexus 5 to a lower setting to create better use of the larger screen when connected over HDMI. This application does exactly that - plug the smartphone, resolution and PPI changes to a preset you defined. Unbelievable! However, transition back/forth isn't always smooth. Very often smartphone reboots upon HDMI disconnect. And when this happens, settings often remain half finished you have to go fix things manually, reboot.. Thankfully you can quickly restore things using the apk. Maybe if the disconnect happening is delayed a bit Resolution Changer would be more successful in restoring settings? Hopefully this apk will receive better. Looking forward for updates!

A Google user: I purchased this apk and tried to change my screen resolution, but caused my smartphone to shut down and go into a soft brick state, the only method I should recover my smartphone was to factory restart my whole device! I lost all my items! I factory restart the device and re installed it (giving the apk the benefit of the doubt) and tried to change the resolution, and it did the exact same thing and I had to restart the device once more! I WANT MY MONEY BACK!
