About the application:

Offline map of Reykjavik and south-western Iceland. Contains the famous Golden Circle tourist route. Download the apk before you go or using your hotel's Wi-Fi and avoid expensive roaming charges. The map runs completely on your device; map display with pan and unlimited zoom, routing, searching, everything. It does not use your data connection at all. Switch your smartphone function off if you wish to! No advertisements. All features fully functional, no additional downloads, no "in apk purchases" required. The Golden Circle can be done in a day on a tourist bus or at more leisurely pace by vehicle or even bike. The map contains the waterfall of Gullfoss, the spectacular geysers of Geysir, Þingvellir (Thingvellir) national park, and Hveragerði greenhouse village. Volcanism plays an necessary role in the Icelandic landscape and tourist sights. The map is customised to present you the terrain, places of volcanoes and the approximate place of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge dividing Iceland into North American and European halves. The map is based on OpenStreetMap data, http://www.openstreetmap.org. It contains all the main streets. Reykjavik is superbly well mapped right down to individual side-walks and 968 park benches! Coverage of things to do and see and most amenities such as hotels, eating territories, major shops, banks is very awesome. Coverage of rural places is awesome but not 100%. You can assist improve it by becoming an OpenStreetMap contributor. We provide you with gratis periodic updates. Turn-by-turn navigation is accessible on devices running Android device 2.3 or higher. Navigation will present you an indicative route and can be configured for vehicle, bike or foot. The developers provide it without any guarantee that it is always correct. For example, it does not present turn restrictions - territories where it is illegal to turn. Some rural streets may be suitable for four-wheel drive cars only and/or for people familiar with the place and terrain. Use with care and above all look out for and obey street signs. System requirements: An memory card with at least 30 MB of gratis place. GPS not needed for primary route display. A GPS device is required for turn-by-turn navigation and finding out where you are. We hope it does not happen to you but: Like most little developers, we cannot try a wide dozens of phones and tablets.
