  Johannes Jansonius: It worked perfectly with my Huawei P6 android device smartphone. Unfortunately it only works with Lufthansa at this time but I did go to the airlines tab and requested that AC WestJet and KLM be added to the airlines list. Good idea hope it catches on. I the meantime I was. Able to easily make personalized tags with my email, initials and even a image of myself. Nice insurance for not picking up the wrong bag at the baggage carousel. Do far so awesome👍👍

  It works as it could on my Galaxy S8 and iPhone 7. I have not had any issues with it so far. If number of digits for initials can be increased, all the better.

  AF Benaza: Was excited to receive fresh bags with the electronic tags. Went here to download the apk. The amount of negative reviews on Android device phones was a bit of a allow down. Was already considering using my ipad or iphone if i couldnt receive the e-tag to work. FORTUNATELY, i found a youtube video that explained the process quite simply. I followed the instructions on the video and the pairing and screen display worked perfectly! And yes the ETag screen is CUSTOMIZABLE WITH YOUR OWN PHOTOS even on Android device! Im currently using an LG G6 and my girlfriend paired her Rimowa to her S8. Both phones had no problems pairing to the ETags.

  Henry Stenzel: After fumbling around with the apk for an hour including deleting Bluetooth cache, repeated restart and repairing, I finally got it working on my Nexus 6P. The trick seems to be to give the e-tag the permissions to read your smartphone contacts when pairing. This of course is something which does not makes sense to a non developer. But looking at it from a technical perspective you can see that there might be some unsolved questions regarding the implementation of permission dependencies which have not been addressed yet in the apk. This fixed it for me. Still this is a horrible player experience for less technical experienced customers. As the apk itself is tiny assist in fixing this or giving the player an info why it is failing, I am only giving 3 stars as in the trust that Rimowa product owners will chase the developers of this apk until the ease of use meets the standards you would expect from the long running tradition of that company.

  Thomas Müller: Well, today afternoon I was in the store in the Airport in Zurich and I thought I give it a test to see what the sell woman think about this suitcase. She told me, that a lot of business men are highly happy with this e-tag thing. Well for me, it did not work well. We stood there almost 1 hour, me trying to connect with the suitcase. A lot of attempt failed, but after sometime it worked. It finally paired with my smartphone, which is an Oppo R7s. Not very common in Europe. As I found out, the Suitcase, mainly Rimova only agree Airlines from Swiss International Airlines, Lufthansa, Eva Air and Austrian Airlines. So that means, if you fly with an another Airline, you will receive a paper mark anyway. The build quality of the suitcase itself is very awesome but this apk is not recommendable. If this will work ok, i might think to buy this suitcase, since all the fresh models come with this e-tag thingy. Just in my opinion, the sell woman in this store was not even able to connect with her smartphone, so this was all useless to me.

  Chester Lau: just other bloody fiasco after bmw, roca and hsbc etc to ignore and discriminate Android device players!?... simply took too long to deliver after the it offered to the god damned crapple platform exclusively. those stupid decision makers nonetheless use crapple ios themselves but also always mistreat Android device players as underdogs and deprive them of their very fundamental right versus crapple.

Rimowa said they are updating the apks for android device but from what I read that was 4 months ago... they can only cater to 18% of IOS players. So to the 81% of android device + 1% another OS players DO NOT BUY THIS!

  Sebastian-Justus Schmidt: Sorry guys...the idea of the electronic mark is good. The method the apk is working is absolute awful. We tried wit various devices...several worked (Nexus 5; Huawei P10plus), but my Huawei P9 will not work. Pairing OK but it remains "Bag not found". The tool in UX would also not reach high level...but now it is not working for me at all. I could read the reviews before and could not buy this suitcase. Complete disappointing. 550 euro waisted!
