About the application:

RoadBump is a program for street maintenance and engineering specialists to receive estimated International Roughness Index (IRI) info that previously was accessible only through very high cost laser/inertial profilers. RoadBump provides objective data on all types of streets (asphalt, concrete, dirt, gravel…) RoadBump uses your Android device device's GPS and accelerometer to measure the roughness of a street. It displays a map of the street that was measured, and allows you to zoom in to measure any part of the traveled path. RoadBump produces estimated IRI graphs as a moving average or in segment lengths that you specify (such as .1 mile or km). An accelerometer graph shows individual bumps, dips and waves. RoadBump Pro is extremely simple to use. Simply press the giant begin button, drive the street what you wish to measure at normal speeds and then press the giant stop button. Street data is gathered and held on the device so a network connection is not required. NOTE: Before purchasing the professional ver of RoadBump (RoadBump Pro), please install and run the RoadBump Gratis apk to ensure that the application records and displays recordings on your device.
