Ellen Taylor-Lubrano: Yay! Finally! Been waiting for this on Android device for a while. No issues signing in, finding what I wanted, or downloading. Navigating within an problem is beautiful simple, and I like how articles have embedded enlargable photos of any charts or diagrams.

Chris Press: At latest As a long term digital subscriber who doesn't have Apple devices it's good to finally have a decent method of reading the problems. Scrolling through pdfs or trying to navigate the website was far from optimal. The apk crashes a bit but still vastly better than no apk.

Mark Stouffer: I have been waiting for this for a long time. Layout and UI is better than I expected. I'm very satisfied to see they did not use the page-flipping paradigm but went with scrolling instead. The only trouble I see is there seems to be a 20% additional padding around photos, making it that much narrower than the text. Tap to zoom, but why narrower than the text? It makes the caption also narrower and unnecessarily cramped.

Colin Murray: Nice to read SciAm on the smartphone. Would be nice to shop the apk and problems on external storage. I may have to remove if storage becomes an problem.

Marcus Rugger: As a media apk for Scientific American, I like it well enough. The articles are simple to read on the smartphone and I much appreciate that they are not just pdf's of the magazine. When my Pixel XL updated to Oreo, I found the apk no longer worked, but they just updated it and now it works. Thumbs up, guys.

Alfredo Gomez: Want the mobile website worked this method. Simple to see the list of problems and simple to read articles. Want apk did a better job of remembering where you left off.

Michael Fogle: Saw the advertisement for the SciAm apk for Android device in the July 2017 print problem. Saw some less than stellar reviews, but decided to see for myself. Have no issues with it - no crashes, no log in / out problems. Intuitive navigation controls, simple to use thumbnails, uncluttered interface.

Zoltán Dankó: Science on your smartphone I have awaited this apk. It works well. One idea for the next modernize, let to move it to SD card, since it requires a lot of place.

Christa Gainor: Awesome magazine apk, but there are only 3 point size settings: little, really big, and large. I want there were a medium kind size, or the ability to zoom.

Andre Straker: So far, so awesome Finally, I have been waiting for this for years now.

John Noble: I would very much like this Apk to let downloaded problems to be stored in external SDcard to save main memory, since they take a lot of memory place.

Charles Collis: Good. Would be even better with a inverted colour night mode!

Wass MHD: 4 things: 1. Could sync scrapbook between devices. 2. Need to highlight words as in electronic ebooks. 3. View mode: A dark mode, or less bright for less straining on eyes. A necessity for any long reading session. Better than using third party filters. 4. Sometimes wish to read publication layout, could be in apk. Need not to use a PDF viewer and receive out of apk to do that.

Sima Rekstyte: Awesome, but... Would give 5 stars if there was a chance to move the downloaded problems to sd card. As it is now - they take up a lot of internal memory...

Having articles on the go is good but I want the apk would begin to the latest put I left off instead of opening to the library first and blinking a few times. It does return to your article when you click on the problem you were on but there is no bookmark for your put.

Hussein Hafez: It's a awesome apk. My only complaint is that it doesn't save reading progress. If I'm reading a long article and have to exit the apk when I come back it's a fifty/fifty possibility that the apk will remember where I had read up to in the article

Viviana Aaren: Apk is fine, but incompatible with Android device 8. It crashes on begin up.

Greg Taylor: Every month when a fresh problem arrives, I am told that I have an active subscription and that I can buy the current problem. Just what does it mean to have an active subscription if it doesn't contain the current problem?? I then logout and login once more and search I'm then able to download the problem. Only once I jump through those hoops can I read the fresh problem.

Pattanapong Thiravutpinyo: Awesome begin, drawings in the articles are too little. Awesome begin for Android device. One trouble is that the drawings in the articles are too little to read. Their resolution is so low that they're blurred when zoomed. (Huawei MediaPad M3 with 1600*2560)

Stuart van der Lee: Works beautiful awesome until it stops recognising my subscription and asks me to buy the fresh problems. Have to log out and log back in for this to correct itself. This occurs often enough to be annoying.
User rated this game 3/5 on 2017-04-26
Alejandro Sedeño: I have to log out and back in every month because it seems to forget I have a subscription and offers to allow me buy fresh problems as they come out even though I have already paid for them.

Garry Richards: Crashes regularly
User rated this game 2/5 on 2016-11-14
Harry Heflin: For a lot of months this apk has had a lot of documented issues that could be straightforward to fix. Does SciAm not care to create their apk useable? Don't they read the comments???

Jeff Axelrod: Crashed reading my first article Hopefully they'll improve it

John Frederickson: The Women's problem does not work and sci am doesn't answer to my complaint

DJDOUGHORIZON: I downloaded the trial problem and the pages are not scans from the printed edition. They are just typed in and it looks like I'm reading the content from a mobile smartphone site instead of an actual printed magazine. Very awful. Most of the newsstand apks are actual page scans from their printed counterparts. It would be good if this apk can be updated so I can read the actual page scans. I will give this apk 5 stars if and when this happens.

Yet other magazine that CANNOT create transition to digital.

Jeff Cowan: Was really looking forward to this apk. It's awful. It is not intuitive, and it forgets your subscription status. Time for me to move on. :/
