About the application:

With SecMess, you can safely chat with your mates and family. On Privacy & Security SecMess uses encryption with symmetric cryptography – each contact has their own key. Encryption algorithm has a key of 512 bytes and 512 bytes of textblock length. Ciphering has 30 rounds. Also each notice has between 104 and 616 randomly added bytes so even the same text sent with the same key creates various ciphertext which increases security. SecMess does not shop any data – all contacts and generated keys are stored locally on player devices. Your operator can only shop ciphertexts, which are sent and received on your devices (remember that date, source and destination device is also known for operator). App does not require Internet connection, communication works with SMS service so if you don’t wish to use it or are out of the Internet connection, it’s not a problem. SecMess allows you to exchange a key with encrypted SMS notice or with anexport/import mechanism. If you have an independent communication channel to exchange your key safely, you can use that method – see also About info. SecMess 2.0 operates only with SMS, MMS will be included in the next version. App uses UTF-8 coding when encrypting messages to decrease the number of possibly known binary values of heroes. Due to that fact, ciphered SMS can be written with English alphabet only. Source code of encryption algorithm is begin for audit.
