About the application:

An simple to use educational apk to stimulate and inspire communication, language development, and multilingualism in kids. The apk is designed for use in nurseries, kindergartens, schools and homes. Second Language is the international ver of the Norwegian success "Språkkista" (Language chest), developed by a squad of nursery education professionals and with help from UDIR (The Norwegian Directorate for Education and Training). All translations and recorded sounds are created by professional interpreters. The built-in photo library contains 300 carefully chosen daily words for kids in 25 various languages, including a lot of minority languages: English American English Amharic Arabic Burmese Chinese Farsi Kurdish (Soranî) Kurmanji Lithuanian Norwegian Bokmål Norwegian Nynorsk Oromo Pashto Persian (Dari) Polish Russian Somali Spanish Swedish Tagalog Tamil Thai Tigrinya Turkish Urdu Vietnamese The photos are gathered into ten albums based on daily themes, with thirty two photo cards in each album. When a kid taps an photo the associated word is read out in the chosen language. The kid can easily switch between their first and second language by tapping a button. You can easily add your own photos and albums by using the built-in camera and microphone. This enables you to build an photo library specifically adapted to certain players or to educational goals. You can make multiple players and adapt each to the individual's learning needs. *Amharic, Burmese and Tigrinja do not have native keyboard help. These languages are audio only unless you install the relevant font.
