Feel yourself quickly drawn away from all the unnecessary worries in life as you stimulate your imagination by enjoying the geological wonders that are sometimes hidden inside of regular old looking rocks. Its truly good to think about the unbelievable patterns that are hidden inside of stones. Sometimes they look like animals, people, insects and even spaceships! Layer after layer of mineral rich pigments twist and turn, bending together to make patterns that look good and are truly only bound by the constraints of our minds eye. A unbelievable live wallpaper that allows you to set your wallpaper as a single picture or cycle through a library of 50 high definition collages featuring polished agates that I have arranged, and photographed specifically for this application. Agates are truly good. They come in all shapes, colors and sizes. They are primarily created up of chalcedony and quartz and usually formed in volcanic and metamorphic rocks. They exhibit a cryptocrystalline crystal habit, which means that the rocks texture is actually created up of miniature crystals so little they can only vaguely be seen under high magnification with a microscope. Sometimes agates have special designs on the outside that can be seen without tumbling but usually they need to be polished in a rock tumbler. Another times the agate needs to be slash using a lapidary saw and then polished using a lapidary wheel. Lapidary is the art of engraving, cutting or polishing stones and gems to accent and bring out their natural beauty.
