Fresh alerts will appear on the status bar, and by choosing it, you can read the details.You can also select how urgent of a notification to receive, based on the NWS Severity. You can select the level of response in the preferences.Simple Weather Alert allows you to monitor one place for NWS alerts. If you wish to monitor more places (including places that move with you), then consider purchasing Pro Weather Alert.Simple Weather Alert Features:+ Monitor NWS weather alerts for your place+ Select how to be notified (lights, bell, vibrate)+ Modify notification based on NWS severity (go crazy for extreme alerts, such as Tornado Warning)+ Alerts hold updated automatically as long as you have connectivity+ Browse the alert list when there are multiple alerts, and read the info and instructions for the 2 MOST SEVERE alerts, as well as any EXTREME alerts.+ An apk widget added to your home screen allows for simple on/off toggling of lights, vibrate and sound settings. Clifton Jones: Good apk! I live near Wichita KS, and yesterday we had some tornadic storms roll through the place. This apk alerted me very promptly to the warnings and the info sent out by the NWS. I was out south of a storm that did drop a tornado, and the alert explained that the tornadic part had moved a couple of miles north of my place. Very awesome feeling to know the apk has your back. Highly suggested!
