  Nathaniel Thomas: RE: The fresh ver: my speculation is that the developers are trying to use the Skritter site as the basis of the apk to ease up on the difficulty of maintaining separate Android device and iPhone versions. Unfortunately, at the moment it feels a lot clunkier than the previous ver did. However, after a (very) brief try it does seem to be synced with where I was before the modernize. It does seem to have a fresh max of 30 to review, but I'll have a better sense of what's going on when I do my practice session tomorrow. For the older ver: Almost magical apk for learning heroes in combination with Heisig (remember to turn on the Heisig keywords in the options). Probably the only Chinese learning apk that I would consider essential.

  Lira: good apk for learning Chinese heroes the only downside is that there doesn't seem to be a list of words you've learned neatly laid out somewhere. the review process seems solely controlled by the spaced repetition algorithm and doesn't let for simple manual intervention.

  Kai Carver: Good, smart, elegant, complete apk I really like it. The integration with Pleco makes it a very complete method to study and review. I also like that it's begin source. And that it's still evolving. They just added example sentences. Which is good because I like to associate every word I know with an example sentence and test to memorize the example rather than the definition, to minimize using English. You can also enter your own mnemonics.

It looks nicer than the web ver but what I still really wish is the example sentences, so mostly I'm still using the iPad ver.   Cody Heiner: UI Recommendation Hi, the apk is good overall, but there is one thing about the UI that I search very unnecessary and counterproductive. When you finish writing a hero, the wrong/correct/etc bar at the bottom covers up the bottom part of the hero you just wrote. I think it's really necessary to be able to look at the full hero in an uninhibited fashion to cement it in one's mind. I was wondering if you should move the hero drawing region up slightly to fix this problem? Thanks

  Mr Williams: Unbelievable for avid learners The best method to remember heroes is to write them and this apk is good for that. Still in my trial period but I'll certainly be signing up, most language apks are gratis but you receive what you pay for (or don't pay for). Anyone who is learning mandarin seriously will realise the value in Skritter.

  Fredrik de Vibe: I'm using this to increase my mandarin vocabulary and at the same learning how to read and write. It requires effort, of course, but it actually works. I can suggest using it along with the Mandarin Companion ebooks to practice your vocabulary.
