  Michael Wecker: This apk works beautifully if you Read & Follow the instructions! The CAMERA LENS MUST be positioned at the exact height for calibration mode if it's not you won't receive the correct calibration. Once you have calibrated it, it works perfectly. I set mine on a 1 inch PVC pipe anchored in ground so the lens was exactly at the height instructions said it could be and focused at the base of the object (that I knew actual horizontal distance to) that was going to be measured for height. It was exactly to the inch compared to the tape measure and the height of the object was exactly to the inch. I then measured the tree that I wanted to measure and it came out excellent! Garbage in equals garbage out if you don't do it right you're not going to receive any type of measurement worth a tinkers damn folks!

  Mark Eastaugh: Very intelligent idea. Very easy to use. Quite accurate if you think about it while you are doing it. I checked and hold the bottom of the smartphone level with the bottom of my chin (1.5 metre) and keep it over the desired point. At 5 metres distance or so is accurate to within a few cm. I think if you carried a pre measured staff to keep the smartphone on it would be within 1 cm. I immediately paid for the pro ver because this deserves payment.

  A Google user: Super Accurate once calibrated correctly. Good Apk and a Definite Suggestion for Measuring Items. Will be most useful for measuring place of a house, etc in True Estate or another primary measurements. If you are patient enough in the initial setup of the apk believe me, you are gonna have a ball. This apk could not go to waste. For some reason with the calibration set at 75% I receive very accurate results.(have requested developer who is really fast in responding to modernize the calibration in future) The smartphone height is at its default 4.9 and I keep the smartphone between chin and collar bone level(I am 5'5") I used the tile flooring(1x1 foot tiles) in my house as a marker to calibrate the smartphone to receive the accuracy for the length and width right and the rest is history. You should use a predefined place with a measuring tape as your marker with marker points at each foot/meter for calibration part and calibrate your smartphone and check accuracy and remember the settings (in case someone fidgets with it) so later you can be at ease that you have a beautiful accurate apk when you need anything to be measured in the course of your everyday living.   A Google user: Version 2.1.1 now works well on the Xoom smartphone. Tip: prepare a string with a loop at each end of a reasonable length. Loop one end around your smartphone or smartphone and the another around your shoe to maintain a known fixed height. Carefully measure the distance from the camera lens to the ground and enter this measurement into the apk. Your results will be much more accurate and consistant. The effect will only be accurate if performed on reasonably level ground. Good apk!
