  Nexus 6P Player Able to read/write files in exFAT... But only with a constant reminder in my notifications that the drive needs to be formatted in order for Android device to read it. I can't receive FAT32 to work at all, which is a shame. It just opens to a blank screen like another players have said. NFTS drives read but don't write as expected.

  JK Wilcox: Fine. After some find I found that I need to select in my Nexus 5X "use USB to PTP (Transfer Images)" Then I can Play multimedia files from my Pendrive USB. I can play files as Melody, Videos, Images and Films. But I have the feeling that my smartphone is not opening Solid Explorer when I select begin the Pendrive because the UI and MENUS are totally diferente. Anyway , very satisfied to help the developers with this nice Apk. Thanks a lot and hope you can improve this OTG Feature. Thanks in advance.

  Eric Work: It works on Nexus 5x w/ 7.0 It took a bit to figure out how to best use the plugin but it works. On my Nexus 5x running Android device 7.0 I can watch a film from an NTFS USB flash drive connected with a USB-c OTG adapter with VLC. All the formats it mentions work except the read speed of FAT which is native is about 10x as quick as NTFS or exFAT. It will be slow if you plan to use this plugin for heavy copies. It would be cool if it supported ext4.

  Brad Meredith: exFAT works on Nexus 6P Loads exFAT USB devices without root. Very impressive. If your device (a) doesn't help exFAT natively and (b) isn't rooted, test this! Sadly, it doesn't work on my Pixel C.
