Speech Assistant is a medical AAC apk designed for people who are speech impaired. This may be in the case of aphasia, MND/ALS, autism, stroke, vocal cord issues or another speech problems.With the apk you can make categories and phrases, which are placed on buttons. With these buttons you can make messages that can be shown or spoken (text-to-speech). Rod Harford: Truly perfect if you need to create yourself understood I was looking for an apk which would let me to communicate quickly and easily in hospital after a throat operation. This is it. Most things you need to say are accessible at the touch of a button, but you can tool others in in advance or just use it on the fly. Brilliant.

Ben Coxon: Dad has MND and cant talk. This apk is really good for him. He doesn't wish to use the text-to-speech features. He just wish to kind a notice and present people - this apk has a "present" button which makes the typed text switch to full screen so he can present us on his smartphone and we can see it clear across the room. We have tried Predictable from Therapy Box. It may have the potential to do more than Speech Assistant, but if you're not using a voice bank or jelly/rocker switch, its a lot of cash to pay - £100 upwards - for an apk that does the same as Speech Assistant but DOESN'T have the "present" function.

A Google User: Just the Job The improvements are unbelievable. Now you can present the text in a really big font full screen if you need to. The developer listens to recommendations and acts on them. Speech assistant is just what my wife who has a speech and mobility trouble has been looking for. This apk has really big buttons and fonts enabling messages to be shown as well as spoken. At latest I have found an apk that should replace my wifes lightwriter. Lightwriter cost = £3000 Speech assistant cost = FREE. The developer has improved this apk based on a few sugestions I created. Forget the rest..this is the best. Wow it's even better with undo clear.

Scott Query: Speech Assistant I love this apk, I had throat cancer which unfortunately took away my ability to speak ever once more. They had to remove my tongue, vocal cords, voice box and had to totally reconstruct my throat using my chest muscle. This apk is used by me on a everyday basis for everything i need a voice for. At first I had to use pen and paper but that was for people who are right in front of me, to receive someone's attention i used a bell. This apk saved my life.

Petr Sedlak: Very useful and customisable Good apk for people with speech impairment who manage to tap on a smartphone or a larger smarphone. It is easy to enter and modify frequent phrases and sort them into categories. Or you can kind advertisement hoc text on a keyboard. Fully customisable behaviour, colours, sizes. Advanced features like a backup of the predefined phrase, showing a phrase on the full screen or sending it via email. It helps me to hold contacts with another people!
