Splits is a shot timer. In fact, Splits is more than just a shot timer. Splits records the time of your first shot, shot to shot split times, mag changes, elapsed times and even contains a easy means to record accuracy. Splits can save your shot strings to your device’s storage so that you can monitor your progress. Splits is very awesome at recognizing when a shot has occurred. However, it is not a dedicated shot timer. When there is a need to adjust its sensitivity, due to environmental conditions or surrounding activity, Splits is simple to adjust. On the main panel is a fast action adjustment. Or, for ok tuning, Splits provides a visual presentation of your shot string with the ability to adjust the device’s sensitivity. Splits does need permission to shop your shot string history on your device’s storage and to access your device’s microphone. The storage question often asks for permission to access “files and pictures”. This is a general question. Splits does not access pictures. Splits is almost as awesome as the dedicated shot timers costing $100 or more. However, Splits is gratis! You can spend your cash on ammo or another accessories instead. The gratis ver of Splits has all the functionality of the paid ver. The only difference is that the paid ver removes the advertising. Splits allows you to define your own stages and drills, so that you can choose them during your session and save the shot strings by scene or drill. With the release of 2.40, Splits supports identifying the weapon used and person performing the drill. The term weapon is used here because some have selected Splits for archery and another devices. Graphical presentation is integral with Splits. You can see a historical presentation of your progress for draw time, split time, mag changes and elapsed time. You can recall and depict a graph of the actual shot string (2018 and forward). Plus, you can depict a graph of the current shot string and adjust the phone’s sensitivity if needed. If you are shooting by yourself, splits contains a timer delay so you can “Create Ready”. The timer delay can be set to zero so the beep sounds at the press of the begin button. The metrics that Splits retains by Drill contain: Total reps of the drill, total shots in the drill, average shots per drill, average elapsed seconds per drill, average first shot, average mag change, average split time between shots (excludes first shot and mag changes), average shot or split time, accuracy and the ratio of hits to misses. The metrics can be filtered by date range, weapon and/or person. Splits can be used during Dry Fire practice. It can detect the sound of the hammer or striker click. Before dry firing, create sure your firearm is not loaded. There is more to Splits than that described above. Splits is gratis to download and use. So, give it a test. Richard Hendricks: I was thrilled to search that Splits works quite well with my airguns. Splits detects the shots quite well with my BB and pellet pistols. I did not have to create any adjustments to the default audio settings. I inspected the Apk dry firing as well as on my indoor range. I have not tried the Apk outdoors. I contacted the application owner and he was quite helpful.

Leonard Cifelli: I picked up this apk for my Android device smartphone as I am on a tight budget. I connected the smartphone earplug to my hearing protector audio input and set the timer. It works unbelievable! It allows me to develop my skill set and I can monitor my improvement on the timer. I can also adjust this to work either on an begin range of my gun club or in a personal enclosed range. All I can say is it works better than I anticipated.

Cannibul Jones: I required a shot timer but couldn't afford $100+ for one. I installed this apk and it does everything I required it to do. My mates and I use it weekly at our informal matches. You really can't go wrong with Splits. I just need to figure out how to receive it to automatically display elapsed time after the latest shot.

Franklin Mosely: this is a very handy program. i use it to analyze steel challenge practice. the default of all misses is annoying i want it recorded hits then adjust for misses. also i want you should choose for mag changes option in setup. if you do a mag change in steel challenge, you've lost. these are minor, overall i do suggest this apk to mates.

Richard Bledsoe: Found myself at an indoor range wanting to run drills with my P226 SAO Legion. I was not wrong in assuming a smartphone apk for a shot timer existed. Did everything I required and then some. For now, I don't see a reason to invest in a commercial timer just yet. I did have some questions, and I'm not sure if they are "full features" but: -How do you receive it to register a magazine change and present the split? I dont mind looking it up. -Does it listen for steel for hits/misses? Can you manually enter it?

Erik N: I know this isn't designed for it but preliminary tests seems to indicate that I can use this apk with snap caps! If I set the sensitivity and echo all the method left the first "shot" is my draw from the holster and the second is my actual shot.

Nicholas Robertson: So I love this apk. I use it almost every time I go shoot. I especially love that I can tool in various drills and then save all the data. I used to write all of this down in notebooks.... Anyways if I should create 1 recommendation to create this apk even more good, I would like the ability to add various pistols. Like my bill drill times with my uspsa gun are various from my carry gun and I would like to be able to separate them
