Just add your text, hit done and press 'Read'! Spree is a Speed Reader program that utilizes RSVP technology to assist you read faster! From wikipedia: "A presentation way called Rapid Serial Visual Presentation (RSVP) was developed to diminish the resource cost of readers' eye movements. RSVP is a way of displaying info (generally text or photos) in which the text is displayed word- by-word in a fixed focal position. This may be used to increase reading rate or provide access to long text on little displays." Spree is good for: Testing how quick you are able to read by adjusting WPM on the fly. Read up to 1000 WPM! Helps focus because you are forced to pay attention or risk not reading words. Helps you read faster because you do not need to move your eyes to read. Permissions: Internet - Gets article text from sites when shared via "Add to Spree" Read External Storage - Allows you to add epub files to Spree and read them. How to add material • Copy & Paste Copy the material you wish to read. Go to Spree, hit '+' and then either manually paste it into the text field or hit the Paste button (a clipboard next to the trash icon). Then hit done. • Share to Spree In most apks you can share material to Spree and have Spree receive all the text for you -- For example, in Chrome if you're reading an article on CNN.com you can go Menu->Share->Add to Spree and the article text will be added to Spree. Then hit done. You can do this from a lot of apks, like Pocket, Reddit News, etc. • Add an book (.epub files with chapters needed, and a compatible File Explorer which can be downloaded for gratis in the Play Store) In Spree, hit the '+' button. Then go Menu->Add EPUB, search your .epub file that is saved onto your smartphone. Then choose the chapter you would like to add and hit Fine. Then hit done. You can return to the '+' screen to change chapter by going Menu->Change Chapter. ***Common issues**** Can't add book saved on device - Test downloading other file explorer like this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details? id=com.estrongs.android.pop Can't add book from dropbox, google drive, etc. - Currently Spree only supports books stored locally (so just download them from your apk, and then search them in your downloads folder). Features Immersive Mode Tap word to seek through your reading material. Supports .epub files! (Experimental, requires ebook has chapters and proper encoding.) Click to rewind current sentence, long press to rewind to previous sentence. Dark and light backgrounds Small, medium and really big font sizes (for better experience based on screen size and eye sight) Variable WPM setting (allows long words to remain on the screen slightly longer so that you can process them) On the fly adjustable WPM Time left at current WPM setting. (Optional) Short pause on punctuation. (Optional) Different chunk sizes (1, 2 or 3 words at a time) Text alignment (Left, right and of course center) Progress Bar Word counter Easy access buttons for adding text, starting over, pasting and clearing text. Screen stays on while reading Orientation locks while reading Similar to Spreeder, Speedy, Quick Reader, A Faster Reader and Spritz.

Gunnar Molstad: I love how simple it is to add text, and I use this apk in particular because of the slider for words per min. It allows me to quickly and easily slow down if I need to, or speed up if I wish to. For someone with attention problems, this apk has created it possible for me to focus and is one of the main reasons I'm going to be able to graduate. Ryan Partington: When you choose an book with chapters and then hit the plus button, the top right link changes from "add file" to period ellipsis. You can then change chapter which is good. However. If you reboot your smartphone the period ellipsis goes back to "add file" and you have to begin over once more adding the ebook.

Charlie Brown: Two things I noticed right from the begin. Black theme is gradient. Would love to see a real black non gradient theme. Would also like the option of centering the Red Letter left to right and even top to bottom. That being said, it works as advertised. Hold up the awesome work.

Neville Surrell: I choose EPUB ebook and am prompted to select from only 4 of my apks. Beneath choose file to read it shows ....Google Music,Drive,Gallery and Images , none of which are my reading apks. I would have expected, this being a reader to be able to choose ebooks anywhere on my device, but most notably...Moon Reader and Playbooks
