  A Google user: The tool starts, but my logcat shows that ICS is ignoring the 'old API'. Tool starts, password is set (easy, no complex heroes), shows that it starts on the interface with no errors, my computer can ping it, but PuTTY can't connect to it. My NG is unlocked, and rooted, but still running the stock ROM. Works GREAT on my OG DROID running CM7, and most recently Liquid Smooth 2.3.7), and on my ViewSonic Gtablet running GtabComb Bought and tried the QuickSSH server and had much the same problem as above. I still gave it five stars because I realize that the Galaxy Nexus (CDMA LTE) came out two days ago (in the USA 2011/12/15), and people with the fresh GN need to know that there are still problems with some apks. **UPDATE**: Downloaded the recent ver this morning (06 January 2012), and everything works. It's nice to have this tool as an alternate method to push files to your smartphone. Thanks once more for fixing whatever was busted.

  A Google user: Works good. I'm running stock 4.0.2 rooted and unlocked bootloader on the VZW Galaxy Nexus. I just downloaded sshdroidpro and allowed superuser access. Connected to my wireless network, changed the password in the settings, and was able to ssh in no trouble as root.

  Colin McKay: Realising I was using SSH droid so much I decided to buy it. Re-installing SSH droid also fixed an error that had occurred when upgrading to Lollipop. Seems to work well now.

  Andrei Litvinov: The application works as described. I was able to configure the SSH server to agree 'public key only' authentication. SSH and SFTP work. Somewhere inside the application uses an begin source SSH server, I think this is an advantage. I should have configured the begin source SSH server but I do not wish to root my device before the warranty expires, that's why I bought the SSHDroid. Рекомендую. Сервер работает, в том числе SFTP. Внутри - испытанный опенсорсовый dropbear сервер, что хорошо. Получилось настроить вход 'по открытому ключу' с запретом входа по паролю, это хорошо. Можно было бы сконфигурировать dropbear SSH сервер самому, но не хочется рутовать телефон, пока на гарантии.

  Imad Ftouni: Unbelievable all around. Tried with ssh, sftp, putty, got into lollipop 5.1 noooo trouble :) pulled backups, the whole thing. If you are new-ish to linux, just kind carefully commands (follow *proper* syntax) and have fun. We rarely receive SOLID products like this. I will definitely buy more from these solid developers....

Still the best Android device SSHd (with GUI) and the only one that is fully functional. Works flawlessly on all my devices.

  Remi Desroques: It's the only apk I found to be able to transfer my pictures from my computer to the smartphone keeping the dates. All the another apks I have been using slay the modified date and then it becomes a nightmare in the gallery. I definitely bought it!

  Mike Dimitroff: This no-frills server does what one expects from an SSHD: no more, no less. You can begin it automatically and forget it exists until you need to connect. Tunneling also works good (unlike a lot of another implementations).

  Clayton Tucker: This is a good product, I use it to rsync images out of my household phones and tablets. Unfortunately Google has broken it by removing the SSHDroid Pro stub from the Play shop; now when the unlocker launches, it opens the play shop apk and says it can't search SSHDroid Pro. If the dipsticks at GOOG manage to stop working on Chinese surveillance long enough to receive this to work once more, I'll withdraw my unkind words here.

  Fred Pilcher: Very awesome, but a couple of issues. I've bought the unlocker, but all it seems to do is stop the advertisements at the bottom - it doesn't unblock the "whitelist" feature, which was why I bought it. And I can't install it on more than a single device. I tried to buy a fresh ver for other device but it says that I already own it. I certainly don't mind paying for it, but it would be nice if it did more than stop the advertisements.

  James Wilson: Overall a very solid apk. Very simple to use, and a awesome speed compared to at least one another apk I had a go with. Also supports sftp which is handy! The only thing that puts off 5 stars is the fact that shutting down the server seems rather buggy.
