Stravomatic starts (and stops) Strava rides and runs when it detects you are running or bicycling, and you forgot to begin it. No more missing traces from your Strava Activity feed! It uses the accelerometer instead of GPS to avoid draining the battery, and to distinguish between running and cycling. The detection parameters, and the different states of sleep that the smartphone can be in, will delay the activity begin and your activity may be shortened by a few seconds to a few mins at the begin, depending on the settings you choose. MIUI (Xiaomi) players: For Stravomatic to be able to reset automatically on boot, you have to white-list it in the MIUI Safety application. Wade Taylor: I initially had some issues getting this to work but the developer was very fast to answer to my problem and helped me receive it working. Strava required body sensor permissions, despite working ok without it if I started it manually. Very satisfied I no longer have to begin Strava manually like a peasant anymore.

Lisa Luo: Oh boy. I wanted to like this apk - the idea is good - but unfortunately I've found that even on the suggested settings in the FAQ, it cuts off a awesome 5 mins of my ride in the beginning, and when I started manually starting Strava myself, the apk even prematurely detected my ride end and split my activities into 2. Now I also have Google Fit and Fitbit on my smartphone, and both of them properly detected both the first and second cases (without the 5 min miss, or the activity stop), so I think it is not an API trouble :) Guess I'll just have to be better at remembering to begin my rides.
