Held the smartphone and controller in the air together while laying on the bed under the blanket and followed the directions. Didn't connect a couple of times. 3rd times the charm. Connected instantly. Started playing with the controls. Blanket heated up beautiful quickly. So far good product.

Sunbeam has decided the my name is 'Side A' and my husband's name is 'Side B' and I managed to change it to 'Jack' and 'Wade' but an apk modernize solved that and, once once more, I'm 'Side A'... But, the blanket is unbelievably cozy. Living in San Francisco, I use it year round. Just be sure to hold a pair of sunglasses by your bedside, for when you wish change settings in the middle of the night!

  Ashley Knafel: I've had a few electric blankets in my time and so far I'm loving this blanket!! I've only had it a couple weeks but its so nice to turn it on from your smartphone!! It was an simple set-up for me. If I'm in bed and it gets to warm its worth it to receive on my smartphone to turn it down as I sleep in the middle of the bed, and my smartphone is normally beside me. I'd suggest this blanky!!

  Wil E: I once more echo nearly ever review by saying this apk needs a dark mode. However, my largest gripe is that the apk requires you to press the check tag button on the connected remote at times to increase the heat setting. Why is this important? I thought this apk was supposed to stand alone. The apk will also send a notification reminding you to press the check tag button about an hour after the heat level was set. I was often asleep by this point and ended up disabling notifications from the apk.

  Ali Jones: Love the pad, hate the apk. I love being able to crawl into a warm bed. It makes me so satisfied. But apparently whenever the apk updates you lose all your settings. So what feels like a few times a month, I go upstairs all cold and realize the pad is off. I begin the apk and once more, my schedule is gone! I have to restart it all up. Maybe if it would alert me that it was updated and schedule required to be restart that would be fine. But it makes me unhappy going to my cold bed.

One questionable action I have seen is that it grabs the clipboard contents when it opens even after initial set up. What it does with this info I do not know but seems dishonest for it to be doing so.

  Diane Bean: We use this apk to control our queen sized heated blanket. No dark mode for an apk that gets used at night doesn't create sense. I hope this will be fixed soon. It would also be helpful to be able to name the sides of the blanket so there is no confusion on which side you are adjusting. The terms used in the notice center are also confusing. "Alarm" seems to just be a routine notification. I'm not sure what is required and what is secure to turn off.

  Anita: I have bought four Sunbeam electric blankets and not one of them have been any awesome and the prices are so expensive they need to come down on their prices and go up on their value to where they work like they're supposed to the item does not work like it's supposed to half the time it heats in the middle and that's if it's in awesome shape it normally don't eat the whole blanket does not heat the whole blanket could be completely heatable they test to fancy it up but they fail create blankets worK

  Giuliano Liker: Turning on the blanket using the hardware buttons would leave it on for 10 hours. This is a large flow, because the only method to set the turn-off timer is through the apk. Once it is set, the next night, I have to do it once more because the timer settings is not remembered. The experience would be much better if I should go to bed without opening the Sunbeam apk every night. Also, the bottom of the apk is slash off by the Android device nav bar.
