What is Supercook? Do you have only few ingredients at home and don’t know what to make? Supercook is a recipe find engine that finds recipes you can create with the ingredients you currently have at home. Supercook has indexed hundreds of thousands of recipes, so no matter what ingredients you have, Supercook has you covered. For best results, create sure to tell Supercook about every ingredient you have at home. The more ingredients you add to Supercook, the better the recipes will be! Supercook is also a practical method to save cash. Take full advantage of ingredients you already have, and naturally buy less groceries. How do I add my ingredients? Adding your ingredients is done on the left side panel. You can either type(list) your ingredients one by one, or you can use the category view. On category view, simply check off the ingredients you have on each category. For best results, add all the ingredients you have in your home. The more ingredients you tell Supercook you have, the better the recipes will be. How do I delete ingredients? When you run out of an ingredient, create sure to delete it from Supercook. This method your recipe results will always be accurate and up to date. If you select the list view, click the red ‘trash’ icon next to any ingredient that you’d like to erase. If you’re on the category view, uncheck any ingredients you wish to erase. How do i delete all my ingredients and begin over? To delete all your ingredients, click the settings icon on the top right. From the dropdown menu, select “Delete all my ingredients”. How do I search a recipe that uses a specific ingredient from my kitchen? By default, Supercook mixes and matches your ingredients to search recipes that use as a lot of of your ingredients as possible. You can override this behaviour by using the "Key Ingredient" filter. When you click the "Key Ingredient" filter, you will be able to choose one (or more) of your ingredients from a list. Supercook will now create sure every recipe returned uses the ingredients you chosen from the filter. This is good method to search recipes to create with ingredients that will be expiring soon. What are the “Recommended ingredients” on the bottom of my screen? “Suggested ingredients” are the most useful ingredients Supercook thinks you could purchase. By analyzing your ingredients, exclusions and filters, Supercook figures out which ingredients would provide you with the best value. The recommended ingredients list automatically updates to reflect any changes you create. For example, if you select “Cakes” from the food kind filter, the recommended ingredients will include ingredients you’re missing that would assist you create a lot of more cakes. If you happen to have one of the recommended ingredients in your home, just click that ingredient and Supercook will automatically add it your list of ingredients.
