About the application:

Taekwondo Master is a reference application designed to help students learning the martial art of Taekwondo (Tae Kwon Do). The material in Taekwondo Master is based on the Globe Taekwondo style. All demonstrations in Taekwondo Master are performed by David Vernon, Kukkiwon recognised 5th Dan Black Belt. Taekwondo Master focuses on the following aspects of this martial art: - Patterns (Poomsae) - Terminology - Self Defence PATTERNS / POOMSAE: All eight Taeguk and the first four of eight Kukkiwon patterns are presented in Taekwondo Master. These patterns are: - Il Jang - Ee Jang - Sam Jang - Sa Jang - O Jang - Yuk Jang - Pal Jang - Chil Jang - Koryo - Keumgang - Taebek - Pyongwon Details of the number of moves, meaning, belt level and video demonstrations are accessible. Step by step view of all patterns with the blocks, strikes, punches, kicks and stances are described in both English and Korean. TERMINOLOGY Over 150 terms are accessible in Taekwondo Master. Terminology is supplied for various Taekwondo categories (such as body parts, stances, strikes etc) with the ability to translate all or individual stuff within that category. Audio of each term pronounced in Korean as spoken by a native Korean can be played. SELF DEFENCE Set Self Defence movements are provided based on the different belt levels. A description of the Self Defence movements and a video demonstratoin are accessible to help in learning the Self Defence. DISCLAIMER Please note, this tool is not a replacement for proper Taekwondo training, it could be used in conjunction with a training schedule.
