  Chas Macintosh: often blocks of pages just don't appear. the digital edition doesn't have all of today's news, and old news is interspersed as you swipe through the content. having now subscribed to the Times digital edition I can see how awful this all is in comparison. only upside is the price, but I'd happily pay more for a better experience.

  Pete Kelly: Can't always receive the current paper in the paper section only the digital section where you can miss articles sometimes. The apk feels clumsy. It doesn't felt as smooth as another paper apks. You can't share articles as per another papers. I only use this apk because I wish to read the Scotsman, not because I have fun using it. Awesome do better.

  MARTIN MILARKY: The worst newspaper apk in Scotland? UK. The globe? A shocking facility which regularly freezes and as for its "comments section" for articles....give me strength! Rumour has it they have 15,000 print purchasers a day...much of that is freebies to hotels and pubs....surprised it is so high. And two days ago the owners introduced a paywall to attract fresh readers!!! Insanity! I give them to Xmas to survive.

  Ron Galloway: It's stopped loading after yesterday's modernize which is giving me the final jolt to stop subscribing and post a review. Why didn't we receive Festival reviews? Why did we receive the Friday motoring pages before the Festival and not after? Asside from the crud it publishes, I need local news which I am prepared to pay for. The paper paper runs at a loss so my (and everyone else's) £8 a month must come in handy, so why the disrespect?

  David Petrie: This modernize has crashed on my Nexus, contacted subscriptions who say it does not work on Android device! They should not understand the trouble at first - said to uninstall and reinstall until I convinced them that the sign up page is still the old one. after a long delay they came back to me to say it is till being worked on! GRRRRR....

  Frank Doyle: When this apk first came out I rated it very highly in 2012, now in 2016 the apk is now unusable. It crashes repeatedly after about 2 mins. It is the same on my wife's smartphone which is relatively fresh so the awful performance cannot be blamed on my original Nexus 7.

  Kirsty Summers: I too as a print subscriber, got an email saying there was a "fresh apk" and to login you could "enter your email address and your subscriber number". Having never used the apk before I downloaded it and was asked for my subscriber number and order number. Order number????? I emailed the Scotsman to ask for assist and this is their answer ..... "Please do check that your apk has been updated. On opening the updated apk you could be prompted to enter your email address, and your voucher subscriber number. If there is no modernize accessible on your device then please delete the current apk and download the fresh apk to resolve this." I'm still no further forward as I can't search other ver of the apk. Very disappointing.
