It was a school project of a few art students, and to a surprise for the creators it attracted lots of visitors for years to come. In 2012 Thisissand was developed into an apk and is still run by an original creator. Thisissand offers a dozens of programs for selecting the sand color. Originally, only the essential Color Palette program was accessible. For the apk, we have developed a few unique kinds of programs which are accessible as the Toolkit in-app purchase. Just like on the site, the unique programs are not at all important to have fun the apk, but we're satisfied for your help if you're willing to test them out. We're very thankful for all our players who have been able to help by purchasing, Thisissand would not exist without you! COLOR PALETTE: Use Color Palette to select specific colors from a swatch of colors. You may select a solid color, or multiple colors to variate between. Use the intensity slider to adjust how quick the colors change. You may also use the randomize button to receive surprising color combos. COLOR SHIFTER: Color Shifter continuously changes the sand color subtly or dramatically depending on the intensity slider adjustment. Color Shifter often produces rainbow like hues. To set the initial Color Shifter color, select a color with Color Palette and then choose the Color Shifter tool. PHOTO SAND: Wish to test making a sand ver of one of your images? Image Sand picks the sand color directly from the image you've selected from your own device. Test it out and learn the tricks to create abstract and/or photorealistic representations! - - - - - - - - - - We highly value your feedback and questions.
