Summary of Features Displays graphically the background noise level in a room in a fun and engaging method. Allows the tolerable noise level to be adjusted to cater for those "louder activities". When the predefined noise level is exceeded for more than 3 seconds: 1) An audible Alarm is sounded 2) The Apk appears to shatter the screen of the Device. 3) A counter, displayed on the noise meter, is incremented by one. Keeping track of the number of “Too Noisy" incidents. 4) The incident counter can be restart. 5) The audible alarm can be switched on or off. 6) Players can email problems and/or recommendations for enhancements directly from the apk. 7) Players can share details about the apk on twitter or fb. More Detail For the responsible adult it is like having a virtual assistant with you, constantly monitoring noise levels and letting the kids know in a fun and engaging method if noise levels have reached an unacceptable level. In tests we have found when using this apk with groups of kids peer pressure alone is generally sufficient to control noise levels. If the noise level is acceptable a satisfied smiling contented graphic is displayed. If the levels of noise increase beyond what the responsible adult has determined as acceptable, the graphic changes to reflect the unacceptable noise level. Once the level of noise returns to an acceptable level the graphic automatically returns to the satisfied contented one, however, if the volume of noise remains unacceptably high for more than 3 seconds...an audible alarm is sounded (this can be turned on and off) and the screen of the device appears to shatter! Also, the "incident" counter on the meter is incremented by one (this can be zeroed at any time from the settings screen). On occasions, it may well be that a higher level of background noise is acceptable, depending on the activity the kids are engaged in. In this case the responsible adult can adjust the sensitivity of the apk so that a higher level of noise is needed before the graphic changes or the Alarm is triggered.

The children receive so excited when we earn 10 stars, because then they earn a Sail point (a school-age reward system that we use). Brandon Espinoza: Just What I required! I would love to see a higher sensitivity. I use this apk with the children I work with but it isn't quite sensitive enough. The children have to be quite loud to trip the alarm. Still a good apk though!

Hanna Lee: Work best mate I am a first year teacher teaching K-6 Art. 4th-6th grades tend to be very social and noisy while being blissfully unaware of how loud they are. I started using this apk on iPhone with them, and the students have been so responsive to it! I switched over to a Galaxy a few days ago and am delighted that an Android device ver is now accessible. (I almost paid to switch back to an iPhone when I realized that this apk was not accessible for Android device yet, but when I e-mailed help, they informed me that it would be soon.) Having the students monitor their own noise level visually is very effective and they will shush each another instead of me yelling for them to be quiet when they see the arrow pointing towards orange or red. They also answer positively (with speakers) to the ping of an earned star award and the blaring alarm. Since using this apk, I have found that I have more instructional and one-on-one time with students, and am definitely less exhausted at the end of the day!

Scott Hassall: Empowers students to self monitor I was the first teacher in my school to download and use this apk, and now three more teachers have already gotten on board. We all love it, and yes - it's good for middle schoolers. The children immediately responded and began quietly shushing each another, and the noise level never got above a conversational whisper. This program empowers students and helps teach them a valuable social skill. My only recommendation was to contain the option where the alarm goes off immediately as soon as the meter peaks out. Elizabeth Strasser: Would love to give it a five I only have a little trouble, eveytime I have it on quiet or silent and they receive a star it automatically alarms that they were too noisy and takes it away. Another than that my students love getting their stars. Every teacher needs this apk. I have told all my fellow teachers.

Amanda Breedlove: I really like the apk overall. My students love earning stars. There is only one problem for me. When the sound "dings" to give a star, if the sensitivity is set high (really, at a level you wish students working at for seat work), it sets of of the alarm for being too loud...... I would love an option to pick what sounds it gives (ex: hold the alarm sound, turn off the star sound). Otherwise, I love the all!

Kelli S: Love it - but fix the star alarm This has worked wonders in my class. Children are super responsive to it! My only complaint is that when a star is awarded it sets of the noise alarm. Would love for this bug to be fixed.

K Klier: This has really helped my students self monitor their talking levels and saved my voice! The only problem I'm having is that the apk will award a star right after they set it off for being too noisy. So it seems that the timer for the reward is not restart automatically when the apk is set off due to noise. Maybe this should be looked at. Thanks!

Anton Lyubinin: Controls are meaningless, with no explicit settings. It would be a lot more clear to have a sound meter in dB and to set the noise level and delay for alarm explicitly. The method it is currently - don't think I can use it in my classroom.

Magaly Hernandez: DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS!! I don't usually download apks much less apks that I have to pay for but after reading the reviews I was convinced that this would be of good use in the classroom. Wrong! Not only did this apk not work properly (alarm would only go off sometimes, stars kept resetting, no apk instructions) but it also gave my smartphone a virus! After spending 2 hrs on the smartphone with 3 various tech help agents, I now have to do a master restart on my smartphone because that's the only method to remove the virus. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS!!

Kalimah Programs: Pro doesn't function right I got the pro. I tried to contact admin re. a trouble, but email bounced back. When class earns a star it's immediately lost due to the star earning sound triggering the noise alarm. I tried to disable all audible alarms, but still no use.
